Great Village Seeds for Minecraft 1.7.10 - 1.8, With Videos
The Best Minecraft 1.7.10 Village Seed List
Since Minecraft 1.7 and later versions came out, the seeds on the list I made for 1.6.2 no longer work. That is why I'm bringing you 11 new amazing village seeds to try on 1.7.10 (and all other 1.7 versions).
For each seed, I have a two- to five-minute video and a description including the village coordinates.
When you're done, please scroll to the bottom and vote in my poll for your favorite seed. I love getting user input so I know what to aim for in my future work.
Minecraft 1.8.1 is now live! Here is a list of village seeds playable on Minecraft 1.8.1.
1. The Village of the Forsaken: 104079552
This is my hands-down favorite of all the eleven seeds. While some people may disagree and opt for the three-diamond village, or a mesa village, I still think this one takes the cake.
You spawn 100-200 blocks away from the village. In case you can't find it, its coordinates are X=200 and Z=200.
I really like this village because of the setup. In the middle of this perfectly square, orderly village, there's a hole with a strange open catacomb system that spawns zombies during the day! Zombies periodically come running out of the hole to chase the villagers, just to catch fire and die in the process. I find this very entertaining. Check it out in the video above, it's pretty awesome.
If this video isn't to your liking, no worries, there are ten other seeds below!
2. Three-Diamond Canyon Village: -8278656170697959971
This one will probably be most people’s number one, and I really like it myself.
This village has a blacksmith shop with three diamonds in it. Also it’s surrounded by high mountains, so basically it's in a giant crater of sorts. It's just a really cool, game-freezing landscape all around the town.
The village is quite a ways away from the spawn. If you can't find it, here are the coordinates: X =-650, Z=375.
3. Spawn at Village on Mesa: -3200857569343076362
This one's pretty cool if you want to check out the new mesa biome on Minecraft. If I remember right you spawn right in view of the village, so you don't really need coordinates, but just in case the coordinates are Z=-275 and X=-250.
Other than that it's just your run-of-the-mill village. But mesas are as rare as mushroom biomes, so I thought you might appreciate this one.
4. Three Desert Villages in One Desert: herobrine
This seed is about as epic as the seed name (which is, of course, the word "herobrine"). It gives you three villages, all in the same desert. If you don't like one village, feel free to go to the next, or the next. It would also be fun to connect all the villages with a railroad.
First village: X=327 and Z=262
Second village: X=541 and Z=167
Third village: X=711 and Z=86
5. Can You Stop the Suicides? 6671894640346020928
This one is hilarious. On this one you spawn about 50 blocks away from a desert village with a suicide ledge. For some reason the villagers huddle around a window next to a ledge and push each other off where they take damage. Eventually they can die if you don't stop them. Great fun.
The coordinates of the village are X=80 and Z=200.
6: Teeny-Tiny Village (With a Blacksmith!) -1325672521
Do you like teeny-tiny villages? I do—sometimes. This village has a blacksmith, a house, and a well. If you enjoy small villages, here's the smallest village you'll find on 1.7. So have fun with it!
You spawn right by it, but just in case the coordinates are X=200 and Z=200.
7: Best Generic Horse-Taming Village: 586909515517558631
This one's a pretty good generic. You spawn about 150 blocks away from a village, and there are horses everywhere. Also in the blacksmith’s home you'll find a saddle and some diamond horse armor, so that makes it the perfect village for your mighty steed!
There's a lava pit underneath two houses, which can potentially cause the houses to catch fire, so be careful!
The coordinates of the village are X=-200, Z=40.
8. Another Village by a Mesa: 106396336
Here's another village next to a mesa. The best part is that you spawn right next to the village, just like in the other mesa village seed (number 3 above), though a little further away. In case you can't find the village, its coordinates are X=0 and Z=50.
9: Perfect Generic Village: -7143966043146520308
This one's just a normal, generic, cool village to play. It's perfect if you don't want anything fancy like the ones above and you just want something normal for a change. Give it a try, it will be fun. Check out the video and see for yourself!
The coordinates of the village are Z=275 and X=-175.
10: Perfect Generic Savanna Village: 1079240548796508218
This one's perfect if you want a generic village in the new, calm, savanna biome (apparently the current patch allows villages to spawn there).
The village coordinates are X=160 and Z=15.
It's a pretty cool village, so if you want something generic to try, give this one a go.
11. Giant Mushroom Forest Village: 2354472788974084399
This one's right next to a deep forest with giant mushrooms in it. It's a relaxed, easy-as-pie village to survive in because of the giant mushrooms. Plus, how often do you have giant mushrooms next to a village? Rarely, I'll tell you that.
The reason I put this one at the bottom of the list, though, is because the village paths are pretty messed up and walking through this village is a total pain. It will take a skilled designer to fix the paths and make this village usable. Do you have what it takes to make this village a dream come true?
The village coordinates are X=-333, Z=-315.
