Ten Village Seeds for Minecraft 1.8 to 1.8.3 (With Videos)
Below are the top ten Minecraft NPC village seeds that I've tried. These seeds are for Minecraft 1.8, but they often work with the 1.7 version too.
I’m including the village coordinates and a two-to-five-minute video for each seed. A picture's worth a thousand words, so hopefully a three-minute video is worth 30 frames per second times 180 seconds times 1000 words per picture, right?
1. Three-Village Seed: 2525617506084080286
This is one of my favorite Minecraft village seeds for 1.8.
On this seed there are three villages! Also they're close enough that you can travel between them. It's a really exciting seed with a ton of potential.
The three villages are at:
The first village is right on the border of desert and grasslands and has some cool mountains nearby. The second village is in grasslands and is pretty generic. The last is the smallest of the three and is located in a desert. They're all really neat, although the desert village doesn't have a blacksmith.
2. Desert Village with Five Diamonds: 1264417242569508116
If you like desert villages (and diamonds), then this is the right Minecraft village for you. You start off right beside the village (if you get lost, it’s at X=5, Z=212).
There are pigs across the river to get you started on food, there's a temple built into the village with five diamonds inside, and a perfect place to start a mine. And it's a perfect, peaceful village in which to start a family (just kidding lol).
3. Amplified Village in the Sky: 2447840193895743095
Warning! “Amplified Worlds” must be enabled before creating your world or else you won't be able to find this village.
This is my personal favorite of all the seeds, though it’s not what people are generally looking for.
The village can be found at X=260, Z=300.
This village has endless possibilities, and because of the design you can expand it any which way you want. Castle in the sky? World of stairs? World's most exciting village roller coaster? The possibilities are endless!
4. Four Diamond Temple Village: -7164473170324388730
This is another really exciting village to play around with. On this Minecraft village seed you spawn right in the middle of a village with a temple built in. If you scale down the temple walls you'll find four diamonds!
If you want to go exploring, there's another temple with some random resources and an enchanted book at X=346, Z=202.
Other than that it's pretty run-of-the-mill. I'm pretty sure there's no blacksmith either, just so you know.
5. Fun Generic Grasslands Village: -770290065
I know this is probably the type of Minecraft village seed people are looking for when they search for this page, so I’m including the best generic village I can think of.
You spawn so close to the village that you don't need coordinates. If you have trouble finding it, just stay put when you spawn, and it should render into plain sight at some point.
It's just a fun generic village, and it's great for expanding! There are also plenty of trees and caves for wood, iron, coal, and whatever else you might find.
6: Skeleton-Archer-Spawner Village, Naturally Self-Contained: 725727103968107578
This is one of the more interesting Minecraft NPC village seeds that I found for 1.8.
You spawn right next to a village, and right next to that village is a skeleton-archer spawner in a cave that's naturally impossible to escape (at least for them!).
If you just stay in the village, before you know it your game will start freezing and crashing from all the skeleton archers down in the cave. It's up to you to decide how to kill them, so... have fun!
7. Horse-Lovers’ Village: 275963728
This one will be your favorite if you're a horse-breeding addict. You spawn somewhat near a generic village surrounded by horses. It's easy to get lost on the way to this village, so here are its coordinates: X=245, Z=165.
I'm not sure where to find a saddle, but no doubt there's one somewhere.
8: Tundra/Grassland Village With Stronghold: 961751257
This Minecraft village seed comes with more than just a village, there's a stronghold nearby too!
The village can be found at X=462, Z=220, and the stronghold is at X=-380, Z=-447, Y=30.
This one is especially neat in that the visuals are just amazing. Even if the village itself isn't mechanically better than any other village, some of the scenery is absolutely stunning.
Also there's a stronghold nearby if you're interested in beating the game (which is actually possible, lol).
9. Deep Forest Mushroom Village: 1488218954
This is just a really cool village seed for Minecraft 1.8. You spawn right next to a village that's almost completely surrounded by deep forest with giant mushrooms. There’s not a lot of unusual things to do here, but I figure some of you will really get a kick out of this one, especially giant mushroom lovers.
10: Lonely Hermit Village 5012549081004942782
This is the funniest village, even though it's the most impractical.
You wander insanely far into the wilderness just to find a village inhabited by one villager with his one house and one wheat field.
The village can be found at X=1215, Z=875.
Do whatever you want with this one. The village is so under-developed that you can shape and mold it any which way you want.
Minecraft Pocket Edition
The seeds here are for the desktop game. Because Minecraft's Pocket Edition lacks so many of the creatures and structures discussed above, you will need to look elsewhere for seeds for your mobile-device game. Pocketgamer.co.uk, for example, has some mobile seeds.
