Epic's newest game, Gears of War Judgment (2013: Xbox 360), follows the story of Kilo squad, formed by Lt. Damon Baird, Pvt. Augustus Cole, Onyx Guard Cadet Sofia Hendrik, and former United of Independent Republics (UIR) Major Garron Paduck. They are accused of treason as Lt. Baird leads his squad during a battle in Halvo Bay and they steal and use experimental Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) Technology.

Like many popular and anticipated games, many retailers such as GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon released different bonuses for customers who preorder the game. However, Epic did not make a special edition to the game. At least.. Not in North America. Europe's GameStop customers have what is called the Kilo Squad Edition, which comes with a figure of Lt. Baird, replica COG tags, a classic Hammerburst code to use in the game, and a Young Marcus Fenix character to use in multiplayer. This hub, being called "Monday Merch," will cover the figure and the tags alone.

The Lt. Damon Baird figurine is made by NECA, the company responsible for all of the Gears of War stands at 7 inches tall, towering over the regular figuines, which stand at 3 3/4 inches. It has over thirty moveable points, and it comes with a retro lancer. Bair'ds uniform and armor is the design from Judgment, and you can truly see the differences between the armor of pre-Emergence Day and how it is over fifteen years later in Gears 3.

COG tags are issued to every Gear, stating his or her name and soldier number. Cog tags are game's version of dog tags for the army. On the replica, the tags say "Property of the Coalition of Ordered Governments." You can find replica tags outside of the Kilo Edition, with Amazon being the best choice. I found my tags at a store called F.Y.E. (For Your Entertainment) here in Florida, and I plan on getting them engraved with a personal ID made through the Digital COG Tag app on Facebook that Epic made before the release of Gears 3.

Gears of War Judgment will be released in North America tomorrow, March 19, and in Europe on March 22!

I wrote a hub covering the basics of the multiplayer mode, OverRun, stating the classes of each side, and some strategies I have encountered and formed while playing the beta.
