Skipp and Friends - Unexpected Journey

Skipp and Friends - Unexpected Journey was developed by Mukunda Johnson for the PDRoms.com Video Game competition in 2009. He won first place for the game, but unfortunately the original winning game was not made to work on an actual console. After reaching out to Mukunda, he agreed to fix the game and get ti to work on the console. The game has been fully tested to run on the SNES and Supaboy.

The object of the game is to move all three characters to the EXIT in each level. Each player has 2 limited special abilities that you may use to help advance through the level. The in-game status bar displays the name of each ability and how many times it can be used during that level.

All three players must be alive and to the exit to complete the level. If you get yourself stuck, press START to pause and then SELECT to restart the level.

After you complete each level a 4 letter password is given to you so that you may resume the game using the Password option at the title screen, after your system has been shut off.

Other Games Considered But Not Included - Classic Kong SNES

Classic Kong is a remake of the original NES Donkey Kong by Bubblezap team. The game features the 4 stages on the original arcade. Although this game is a top quality game, we could not release it on the Multicart due to copyright problems with Nintendo. The game has different graphics, all new code, but the concept is the same; we did not wanted to risk the possibility of a lawsuit from Nintendo.

The game is developed by Shiru, a future developer of other projects released by the same team releasing the SNES 4 in 1 Multicart, he also released Christmas Craze, a Christmas themed snes game which the company releasing the Multicart is working into acquiring permission to release in the future.

There are rumors of a SNES Reproductions team doing a small limited production run for this game for collectors.

How to Get it?

The Kickstarter for this project has been launched. It is expected to meet a 10,500 dollars goal to be able to do the production run.

Update

The Kickstarter campaign for the Super 4 in 1 multicart was successfully funded on Sunday April 7. The team reached a total amount of $15,050.00 which will be used to make the game production run and purchase the Retron5. The name of the company releasing the game is Piko Interactive LLC. They promise to develop new SNES games starting with their kickstarter campaign. The Super 4-1 Multicart will be available for sale at the company online store.
