Next Gen Holidays. Why Xbox makes the perfect present for all ages!

Updated on October 12, 2014

It's that time of year. Again.

It's that time of year to open your wallets and purses and treat family and yourself to some new goodies. The Fall and Christmas period isn't about being jolly, being affectionate to those you love and spending time with your family. It's about gaming. The window from September to December is huge every year, and with both consoles launching this time last year (yes, it's already come around that fast!) if you haven't already, it's time to get yourself down to Gamestop, Walmart or GAME to purchase yourself a Next-Gen console at a fraction of the price they were last year.

So stop telling yourself the same bull, the whole 'i'll wait until they come down in price' rubbish, and buy one. Especially when you see whats coming in this busy window of new launched games! These are the reasons why it's never been a better time to purchase an Xbox One.

It's so Pretty!

It's not just about games.
It's not just about games.

Why Xbox One?

The Xbox One is defined to be the ultimate entertainment system. Using your TV cable box it replaces set top boxes and creates a whole new lazy way to watch TV. For example, Saying 'Xbox on' will turn on your Xbox and TV, then saying 'Xbox go to TV, watch Comedy central' will automatically switch to Comedy Central and you won't even need a remote, i mean, you can even say 'Xbox, Volume up!'

Seriously though, talking to your Xbox and controlling it directly through your smart phone is pretty darn cool. You know what's cooler than that? Playing it.

It's the time of year when everybody is putting the final touches to the games they've been working so hard on. The reason I chose Xbox One is for the exclusives. That's right! EXCLUSIVES! Scroll down to see exactly what's coming, Exclusives, updates, and well the big boys!

Thanks for waiting. Master Chief will see you now.

Hello, this is my favorite blanket, it's cold here.

Games, Games and more games!

This time of year is always huge for games. This year, for next-gen is going to be even better. The exclusives from Microsoft are coming, the new stuff and of course TBB. (The big boys, GTA, COD ect,)

Microsoft set the level high with launch games for the console. Ryse, Forza 5 and Dead Rising were all pretty good. Now, with Forza Horizon 2 fresh of the shelves, it seems things can't get much better. They can. Halo:The Master Chief Collection is all Halo games, remastered in beautiful 1080p and available as one game, including all multiplayer maps. Over 120 of them. That's only the start, Halo 5 is on the horizon 2! (see what i did there! ) Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider there is literally too many!

The New Stuff.

When we upgraded to Next-Gen last year, we were getting tired of playing ports from the PS3 and the 360. We wanted new games. Well, we're going to get them. Alien Isolation is scary as hell but rather beautiful in the way it scares you, The Evil Within looks like possibly the most messed up game of our time, which of course, we shall be purchasing on a midnight launch, and last but not least, one of the big ones for me personally is 'The Crew' this looks great, similar to the way it does its business like Forza Horizon 2, it's a beautifully stunning game and if you haven't already, you tube it!

It's all in the pictures baby!

Halo 2 anniversary map! Oh Lord!

Yes, Horizon 2 really is that beautiful.

The Evil Within. This guy looks kinda friendly right? 'Any spare change, kind Sir?'

The big ones.

Grand Theft Auto 5.

I don't need to explain this game to you, what it's about or why it sells Millions of copies every release. Rockstar Games, seriously need their own religion for all gamers to bow down too. Every single time, we moan, we groan but Grand Theft Auto is always a masterpiece.

Call of Duty - Advanced Warfare

Another huge hit that speaks for itself, I personally hated Call of Duty Ghosts just because I didn't see improvement or where i'd spent my money. I personally think it was 3 steps back from Black Ops, but i'm hoping this can bring it back on too my Xbox and i'll actually enjoy playing it!

Far Cry 4

Ubisoft have really become a dominant force in the industry nowadays with games like, WatchDogs, Assassins Creed and Far Cry. This game looks absolutely beautiful and is one of the stand out games of the year for me. From it's first trailer at E3 this year, it's the game that's been on everybody's mind.

Assassins Creed - Unity

Ubisoft again delivering the goods after Black Flag was so impressive, I owned both on 360 and Xbox One. I for one am really looking forward to what Ubisoft have in store for us this year, especially with this, Far cry, The Crew and the Tom Clancy's - The Division, it's all looking very rosy over there in the Ubisoft Corner!

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

Some don't know about this, but yes, Saints Row IV is coming to Xbox One! I'm looking forward to playing this game but really am uncertain of how many units it may sell with games like GTA and COD forever dominating the market. Makers Violation and publisher Deep Silver really are going to have to pull something out the bag to give it a small fighting chance at least!

The Elder Scrolls: Online.

This huge RPG series returns as an online quest completing masterpiece on the Xbox One. Despite getting rather good reviews from reputable websites and forums, I personally took the time to play this on pc and was not impressed one bit. Also, the fact customers already paying for Playstation Plus and Xbox live will also have to pay to play Elder Scrolls! Bad move Bethesda!

What You Get For Your Money!

The Xbox One is a powerful piece of equipment as we've already established. How you can seamlessly switch from game to app and back to game in seconds says a lot. The updates constantly being released for the dashboard and apps is what I think will slowly start to leave the Playstation behind.

November last year, in the UK, I waited in line for 4 and half hours before finally getting my Xbox One. Paying a monster price of £489.99 for the console and one game, I still left feeling happy with my purchase, now though, In the UK, for as little as £329.99 you can take this beauty home with you, and that really is a steal. Whats underneath that shiny case though and is your hard earned money worth it? The picture below shows exactly what you're getting for your money.

What you're getting!

P.s, it actually comes already built so you don't have to put it together!

So, Is it time to Step up?

Next-Gen consoles finally worth the price tag?

See results

Xbox Live. Better than 360 and Playstation Plus?

Yes, hell of a lot better. 8 Player party chat, Games with gold and the reliability and service that comes with the name and reputation Xbox Live carries with it.

Constant updates rolling out every month, download while you're asleep so you can wake up hassle free when wanting to play your favourite game!

Oh guess what? Got gold on your Xbox 360? Don't worry, you're achievements, friends, followers and Xbox Live Gold subscription also carries over to Xbox One and the option to create multiple accounts for family members who will also have that gold subscription is yet another bonus!

You are GOLD, GOLD!

Always believing, You are GOLD!
Always believing, You are GOLD!
