Cheap Wii Accessories - Discount Wii Remote, Dock, Sensor Bar

Updated on March 14, 2011

Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii is one of the more innovative gaming consoles, but that doesn't mean that Microsoft and Sony aren't taking notice. They are starting to create their own wireless systems, like the Xbox Natal Project. Although Natal isn't quite like the Wii, it's still their own invention that should definitely spur the market.

The Nintendo Wii has sole wireless controllers unless you must have a classic controller, and in that case, they're available as well with a wire. In a way, the classic Wii controllers resemble Super Nintendo controller, which is keeping things simple.

Nintendo has a few accessories that you can purchase, but for the most part, they're spending their time developing new games and improving upon the system itself. So, you won't find an extensive listing of accessories, but there is an assortment that you can choose from that will advance your gaming.

When you are looking for Wii accessories, you'll want to check eBay because you can search the different options and price check for the best and cheapest price. Just be careful between new and used products, depending on your preference. If you want new, check to make sure that the description says 'new'. If you have any questions, contact the seller before you make your bid or buy now.

The basic Wii accessories that you will find available include the Wii remote, Wii classic controller, Wii nunchuk, Wii sensor bar, Wii dock, and various skins and covers for the remote and nunchuk.

Wii Charging Docks

These are great for your Wii Remote and Nunchuk. You will need the rechargeable battery pack, but you will save money buying the charging dock in comparison to buying new batteries all the time.

Plus, some of the docks feature a cooling fan, which is awesome for your Wii console. It will prevent overheating, which can potentially ruin your console and entire gaming experience until you are able to fix it or replace it (more than likely replace).

The Wii docks have a little variety in design and features, so check them out. Some house just two controllers, whereas some house up to four controllers. Some of the docks have a place for the Nintendo Wii and a few controllers. Depending on what you're looking for, there are some variations.

eBay offers a load of option that you can choose from at super discounted prices in most cases. At least when you buy from eBay, you will be able to browse just about everything that is available.

Wii MotionPlus

The Wii MotionPlus is an attachment for the Wii Remote that allows more accuracy between the remote and the sensor bar. The attachment extends the length of the controller by about 1- 1/2 inches; you can purchase skins that accommodate this length.

The Motion Plus accessory is only used by certain games that have been developed for its functionality. You can leave the attachment on the Remote when playing other games though.

You will have to remove it when using other remote accessories like the zapper.

Wii Sensor Bar

The sensor bar is very important, so if something happens to yours, buy a new one quickly. Personally, I broke my wired sensor bar vacuuming, so I spent a little more and purchased a wireless one. I like the wireless sensor bar so much better because I can put it just about anywhere.
