Order and Chaos: What Is FB Farm?
First boss farming, or FB farming, describes the action of only defeating the first boss in the dungeon. Second boss farm may require killing the first and second boss, but may only indicate a second boss kill.
First boss farming is practical for new level 70s who have few or no epic pieces of gear and for players who need to practice legendary dungeons, also called legs. Knowing MZL and ALGL on normal is not the same as knowing them in legs. This is true of other dungeons as well.
Legendary dungeons are measured by exhaustion. This means that you can only run dungeons until your exhaustion hits 100. Each boss gives exhaustion. When you first boss farm you get roughly 18 exhaustion per boss.
FB farming helps because every boss drops mechanical gets and hero emblems for each person. Plus someone may get superior blues and the blue 2.5 gear that will be turned into epics. FB farming is a step you can take to make yourself stronger and more prepared for full runs.
If you want to take part in FB farming the property way to ask is: "(class) lfg FB farm mzl/agl".
I think first boss farming can speed up the process of becoming epic once you get two of the three pieces you will get cool set bonuses.
Everybody Loots on Legs
LOOT THE BODY! No, I'm not telling you to ninja. The gear and some gems will be rolled on. However, every single member of the team loots the body for mechanical gears and hero embelems.
The biggest mistake many new players make is forgetting to loot the body.
Trust me, you will regret this later when you find out what gears and embelems are for. Gears buy your patterns for making Epochs out of fragments and the patterns for your epics. You need hundreds of these. So, don't forget to loot them!
Hero embelems are used to buy cool items on the black market. You will want tons of these, so loot every single boss in legs! Your not taking anything from anyone else. These are bonuses all players get.
Ever FB Farmed?
FB Farm loot
When you first boss farm you will kill one boss. In AGL you always fight Illistyn. There are two different first bosses in MZL. You only get to fight one. When you kill the guardians who stand in front on the trapped Core one door will open. This is more random than anything.
There are tons of loot that drop from these bosses, including epics. However, I'd like to highlight the blue 2.5 set pieces that you can get from FB farming.
According to OAC head, MZL first boss Patridon (left boss) drops all players helmets. You will combine the helmet with Epochs to make them epic. This boss also drops the epic mili sickle, epic mage shoes, epic main hand sword and an epic ranger dagger.
The same source says that MZL first boss X-11A (right boss) drops all players shoulders. It also drops the epic healing staff, epic tank shield, epic tank ranger bow and epic mili monk boots.
Ilystin is the only first boss in ALGL, Abyss of Limitless Gears. She drops all players 2.5 set gloves. She also drops an epic ranger / mili monk dagger, epic mage offhand and epic ranger boots.
Is FB farm more fun for new players?
I Know You Want Fulls, But....
If you have a bunch of epic friends who can carry you through a full run, that's great. However, new and under geared players can find fulls to be incredibly frustrating. There were times I wanted to jump off the edge of MZL. You don't have to go days without groups, or suffer through hours of failure.
Instead, you can join a FB farm. It can be tons of fun and gives rewards more often. As you collect the first set pieces, gloves, boots, shoulders and helment, you will do better at end bosses. You might also notice yourself getting invited to more groups. In general, you can make Order and Chaos more fun. It is a game, and should be fun.
