Updated on November 21, 2016

Accessing the QR Code feature!

  • In game - if you press X, a menu will appear on your lower 3DS screen.
  • Press the R button and navigate to the right side of the lower menu
  • Doing this will activate your 3DS's outer camera. Align the camera with the QR code of your choosing
  • Hold the R Button
  • PRESTO! The pokemon's code you now entered will be entered into your pokedex! One more entry gained!
  • ****AFTER SCANNING 10 FOR THE DAY, YOU WILL UNLOCK THE ISLAND SCAN FEATURE. DOING THIS WILL SPAWN A RARE NON-ALOLAN POKEMON SOMEWHERE ON YOUR UNLOCKED ISLANDS. YOU WILL HAVE ONLY ONE HOUR TO FIND AND CATCH THIS POKEMON AT THE LOCATION DISPLAYED TO YOU. THIS POKEMON IS ALMOST GUARANTEED TO HAVE A HIDDEN ABILITY.****

Welcome to the first in an ongoing series of articles with EVERY QR code you will need to complete your Pokedex in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon! Below are entries #001 - #026! The QR codes work for every single one and there is a QR code for each separate male/female entry as well as separate codes if there is a difference in the Alolan and Kanto forms!
