Pokémon X and Y Walkthrough, Part Eight: Camphrier Town and Route 6
From town to city to town to city. Yep, that's the life of a pokémon trainer - especially a pokémon trainer who's running on orders from one of those nutty pokémon professors. Well, you're new in this little halmet of Camphrier; why not have a look around?
- Head south to find the local Pokémon Center. Beside it is a guy who will give you an Ultra Ball. Inside the Pokémon Center you'll find a Name Rater sitting at a table, as well as the usual Poke Mart amenities.
- Take the south exit from town. You'll find a Star Piece on the cliffs. Check the bush at the dead end of this trail for an Ether.
- West of the Pokémon Center is the Hotel Camphrier. Talk to the young man in the lobby for a Full Heal. Upstairs you'll find Mr. Bonding, who will grant you a new O-Bonding power.
- Talk to the girl just north of the Hotel for a Berry Juice.
- Hop down the ledge to the left of the Hotel to find an X Attack.
- Inside the house north of the Hotel is a maid who will give you a Sweet Heart. Also here is a man who will give you a Berry - Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, or Aspear - if you show him a pokémon of the type he asks for. Both will ask you to come again, so check back each day if you get the chance.
- North of the Pokémon Center is another house. In here you'll meet Cassius, the administrator for the Kalos Region's Pokémon Storage System. Talk to his walking assistant to receive TM 46, Thief.
- In the center of town is a small fountain. Check the bush to the northwest of the fountain to find an Antidote.
- Once that's all done, head north into Shabboneau Castle for a look around.
- Watch the cut scene. If you want, look around the castle... though there's really nothing to see. All you'll find is an Escape Rope on the second floor, behind the desk in the south. Exciting.
- Run to the west to hit Route 6.
Route 7 - Riviere Walk
- The path splits. Go west. (You don't get much choice.)
- The path splits again. If you go south you'll find a Berry Farm. Agree to take care of it and the farmer will show you how to plant Berries. He'll also give you Oran Berries and Pecha Berries for you to plant and a Sprinkltoad for watering the seeds you plant. Once the explanations are done, check the bottom-left corner of the field for a Miracle Seed.
- Get back on the road and continue west. A cut scene will ensue, and your next objective will be set.
- Return to the first split and head up Route 6.
Wild Pokemon - Route 6
Audino (rustling bush)
Venipede (rustling bush)
Route 6 - Palais Lane
- This road is a bit odd. Though it looks straightforward, if you walk beside the bushes you'll occasionally get jumped by a pokemon. This is a great way to run into Audino, which are high-experience pokemon. Great way to level up lower pokemon, as Audino aren't that difficult to beat if you rely on physical attacks.
- Take a left almost immediately after you enter the next screen. Hidden near the side of the road, down a thin pathway, is an X Sp. Atk.
- You'll run into two trainers as you walk down the length of this road.
Pikachu, level 11
Pidgey, level 11
Psyduck, level 11
A relative nuisance, and not much else.
Zigzagoon, level 11
Ralts, level 11
Gulpin, level 11
See above! Not much to say.
- Talk to the first person on the path you meet for an Oran Berry.
- In the bottom-right corner of the area is a photo spot.
- Check the top-right corner of the area, right by the fence surrounding the palais, for an Ether.
- Approach the butler in front of the palace to enter. If you want in you'll have to pay $1,000. Steep, but, it's the only way forward...!
- Before entering the palace, though, head back towards the entrance and you'll find two paths that return to Route 6. Traverse these before you go touring.
Route 6, Left Path
- Before you can enter the tall grass you'll run into a pair of trainers.

Furfrou, level 14
Furfrou, level 14
Though strong, these Furfrou are ultimately very simple. They'll spend the whole time Headbutting you. The big problem here comes from their owners, who like to use Super Potions to restore their dumb dogs. Concentrate on one Furfrou at a time.
- Check the west wall of the high grass for a Super Repel on a small side path.
- Continue down the beaten path and you'll be attacked by an unseen trainer.
Espurr, level 12
Butterfree, level 13
Other than Espurr stealing a held item and Butterfree being a status-inflicting pain if it's not brought down fast, nothing of note here.
- Hop down from the ledge to the south and check the fields to the east. In a small clearing you'll find an Awakening.
- Further south and back towards the west you'll find more ledges. These lead down to an Aguav Tree on your left.
- South of the tree is a trainer.
Venipede, level 12
Scraggy, level 13
Venipede will fold rather easily. Scraggy has the potential to be troublesome, depending on your team, but it doesn't have the durability to last long.
- Follow the paths south. When you're almost in the southeast corner you'll be approached by a trainer. Through the grass past him you'll find an Ultra Ball.
Bunnelby, level 14
Ooo, a Bunnelby. Scary.
Route 6, Right Path
- Immediately south of the entrance is an Antidote.
- Along the clearing that leads to the left you'll be greeted by a trainer.
Fletchling, level 14
You can probably handle a Fletchling on your own by now.
- Keep following the paths through the grass until you come to a long one leading straight south. Wade into the grass to your left and you'll see a small clearing with an X Speed.
- If you check the eastern edge of the field you'll find a small path leading to a tiny clearing. Check the northern wall, right in the middle of this clearing, for a Tiny Mushroom.
- Shortly after jumping a ledge you'll run into another trainer.
Volbeat, level 14
This battle is surprisingly dangerous if you're not careful. The Volbeat can confuse your pokemon, as well as use Double Team to increase its evasiveness and Moonlight to restore its HP. I recommend bringing it down with a super effective attack immediately before it becomes too hard to hit.
- West of this guy is another trainer.
Illumise, level 14
Annoying for largely the same reasons as the Volbeat, though not quite as troublesome. Again, super effective right away.
- South of Mari and through the tall grass to your left is TM 09, Venoshock.
- To the east, hidden in the tall grass along one of the paths, is a trainer. North of him is a Paralyze Heal in a clearing.
Croagunk, level 11
Beedrill, level 13
A flying- or psychic-type will dominate this match. Otherwise, just capitalize on their relatively low HP. Don't forget that Croagunk is NOT a water-type!
That's all for the grounds. Time for the palace itself.
- Revisit Shabboneau Castle after upgrading the Mega Ring, post-Champion match. On the second floor of the Castle, assuming you visit between 8 and 9 PM, you'll find Mawilite beside the northern archway.
