There are not many rainy days out of a year in Western states, and when we do get to see a rainy day, we can make it a memorable one. Some people remember rainy days at school, and the activities that made it a fun day. Games can bring out the fun in anyone on a rainy day spent indoors; the day doesn't have to make you feel gloomy. Many people like the smell of wet rain on green grass or just in the atmosphere. Rainy days are spontaneous, which makes for a spontaneous activity. The sound of rain dropping down out of the sky is a calming noise; quite therapeutic.
There are songs that are based on rainy days, the songs makes it an interesting day. Looking out of a window from the inside at the sky, as the rain comes down is a beautiful thing see. Next time you experience a rainy day, count it as a blessing. Welcome a rainy day into your senses by; smelling the rain, looking at the rain (for at least 5 minutes), and touching the rain. Let a rainy day be a therapeutic experience and fun.

Rainy Day Family Activities
Family activities on a rainy day can bring your family closer. It's also a time to bond and to keep that bonding, plus activities can be therapeutic for being social. On rainy days families can bake cookies or cakes together. Small children and older children like rainy day games and ideas, especially if they can interact with their parents. Watching animated movies with your family on a rainy day will make for great memories. Also going out on a rainy day as a family could be a good idea, like going to the mall together.
