Best Teams To Use In Fifa 13

Updated on June 28, 2014

If you play FIfa 13 Online, you'll know that there is divisions, starting in Division 10 and trying to work your way to Division 1, with 10 games in a season and a certain number of points needed.

Inevitably, most people will choose teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Spain, but a good feature is that you will only play against teams of the same level. So if you pick a 2 star team, you'll be matched up with someone else with a 2 star team. I have purposely left the 3 teams mentioned above out as everyone knows about them.

These are some of the best teams for their star level:

Now at first Arsenal might appear as not having a very good team, but if you use it well it can be very good.

Arsenal have a great passing midfield in Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla, and there's also the options of Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Yossi Benayoun and Emmanuel Frimpong if you want something different.

On the wing you have pace in Theo Walcott and both pace and skill in Gervinho. Then upfront, the powerful shot of Lukas Podolski. Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain are options from the bench.

The defence is not the strongest, but it is okay, Thomas Vermaelen in particular is fast, strong and wins every header. Per Mertesacker is one of the slowest players in the game, but is actually a brilliant defender if the rest of the defense has enough pace to cover, which they do with Vermaelen, Monreal and Sagna all being quick.

Swansea are only a 3 1/2 star team which means you will be playing against other fairly low teams.

Swansea, like Arsenal, are a team that like to pass the ball, so again the midfield is quite strong with passing.

Michel Vorm in goal is very good and pulls off some amazing saves. As the striker you have Michu, who isn't the quickest but is a brilliant finisher.

But the best thing about Swansea is the wingers: Routledge and Dyer are both quick, with good skills and decent finishing.

Ivory Coast

For a lesser-known team Ivory Coast, or Cote d'Ivoire as they're called on the game, have some very good players. Again, the defence is not amazing, although it does include Kolo Toure of Manchester City.

They play 4-3-3, so 3 central midfielders; this is usually Yaya Toure, also of CIty, Didier Zokora, formerly of Tottenham, and Cheick Tiote of Newcastle. All three are quite defensive players, and are strong tacklers.

The wingers are Seydou Doumbia, Gervinho and Salomon Kalou on the bench. Doumbia is one of the fastest players on the game with around 94 sprint speed and acceleration, although his technical skills are not so good. Gervinho I've already spoke about above with Arsenal.

The lone striker is Didier Drogba of Chelsea. He is strong, not too slow and a great finisher with a powerful shot.

They are a 4 1/2 star team, allowing you to avoid the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

LA Galaxy

Galaxy are only a 3 star team, meaning they will be playing against the likes of English League 1 teams and average national teams. They have a fairly average team, however there is two players which make them the best 3 star team in the game.

Landon Donovan. As a right winger he is unstoppable due to his blistering 90+ pace, which most 3 star teams have nothing to compare to.

Robbie Keane is the main striker; again he is too good for a 3 star team and will tear them apart if used properly. He has all round attributes needed for a good striker and will score many different types of goals.

Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich aren't the most popular 5 star team, and don't have the same superstars like Real Madrid and Barcelona, but I think they are right up there with the best teams.

In goal is Manuel Neuer, the second best Goalie in the game after Iker Casillas, a brilliant all-around Keeper. In defence, Lahm has an 87 rating making him the best left back in the game; he is good going forward as well as defensively.

The centre backs ratings aren't the highest, depending on who you use they are around 80, and Rafinha at right back is pacey and good offensively but can be weak in defence. Overall a fairly good defense.

Bayern are best in a 4-2-3-1, meaning 2 defensive midfielders, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez. But the best thing about Bayern is the attacking midfield trio: in the middle Thomas Muller, who has a good shot and is good at creating chances.

And on the wings, Ribery and Robben. Ribery plays on the left and is right footed, and Robben on the right and is left footed, meaning they can both cut inside and shoot rather than cross. They are both very fast, in particular Robben, and have overall ratings of 88 and 90 respectively. This pair together is known as 'Robbery'!

The lone striker is Mario Gomez. Not a lot to say about him, he is a good finisher and that's basically his job for the team.

Toni Kroos for Muller, Xherdan Shaqiri for Ribery and Mario Mandzukic for Gomez are all perfectly good replacements.

Take The Poll!

Napoli are a very similar team to ivory Coast, in that their defense in nothing special, midfield is fairly average but forwards are amazing.

Marek Hamsik is very fast, with good crossing, passing and shooting.

The main striker is Edinson Cavani, who has great all round shooting attributes.

Like Ivory Coast, they will avoid the best teams as they are only 4 1/2 stars.

I think the best teams that everyone forgets about, only 4 star each, are all the Moscow teams - CSKA, Dinamo, and Spartak (not lokomotiv)

All are tank especially CSKA, who have Doumbia up front, with dzagoev, honda, and tosic ( you have to put him in, but is definitely worth it - so fast, awesome dribbling) to help him out. Defense isn't too bad, what you would expect from 4 star.

Dinamo have two really decent strikers Voronin and Kuranyi (81 + 80)

and on the flanks own up with dszudzak and samedov (81 + 80), midfield ain't too bad, although defense is weak tbh.

Lastly Spartak, despite being possibly my least favourite, still awesome for 4 star with welliton (really fast, good finisher) up front and mcgeady on one wing, midfield respectable, but once again defence a slight letdown.

      1. CSKA

      2. Dinamo

      3. Spartak

      4. All other 4-star teams.

      atletico madrid

      they have an ok defence

they are great with tackling. but powerful guys like ronaldo or drogba need double pressure from sides

they have a very good passing midfield of diego, tiago, gabi and arda turan. none is very fast but good passers all. and diego can shoot the hell

adrian and falcao as the strikers. they arent very agile but when they get going, they are powerful and fast enough.

great finishers both, they are good with header and they know how to shoot!

i play 4-4-2 but not the usual way

1 dmf as gabi or tiago

      lm as arda turan

      rm as tiago or juanfran

      and diego as amf

the default tactics allow the team to capture the lost ball back quickly for most opponents

but they are not great for counters. the team is not the fastest in any way

      but great great great passers

for people who want to play barca style :)

Another good hub, I do agree a lot with Swansea because I love playing their 4-3-3 and using their pace to open up the opposition with counter attacks.

Also, you should try out Anzhi Makhachkala because they are now a 3.5* team which is great because they have Eto, Zhirkov and Roberto Carlos which makes them great against other 3.5* teams.

In addition you should also try Aston Villa because of their pace with Agbonlahor, Bent and N'Zogbia plus a solid defence with Given, Dunne and Collins.
