Space, the Lego Frontier

As the first 'themed' space series ever released by Lego, Blacktron is one of the prized and collectable of all Lego sets. For those avid Lego fans, you know exactly what I'm talking about! Lego Star Wars sets simply cannot come close to having the fanbase Blacktron has.

While the series has been discontinued for nearly thirty years, the sets are so sought after, that collectors will pay top dollar for an unopened one! This is great news for those who still have their legos. Here are the sets, and the average prices they fetch on the eBay market.

Condition Key

While some sets are marked higher, the values in this guide are based on SUCCESSFUL eBay listings.

Unopened Condition: Any set that is still in its factory sealed box

Assembled Condition: Any set that has been assembled, complete or incomplete, and is being sold as an assembled unit or partially assembled unit.

Blacktron I vs Blacktron II

The original Blacktron was so successful that Lego released a second generation of Blacktron that became known as Blacktron II or Blacktron Future Generation. Blacktron II was released in 1991 and became equally as popular amongst kids of the 90s, myself included.

Fun Hub. As a kid I love the space themed LEGO's the most. I also write a series of hubs on LEGOs. I focus more on the sets than the value. However, I have noticed how expensive some of the more rare sets can be. They can be a great investment.
