List of All The Grand Theft Auto Games

1. Grand Theft Auto: 1997 (PlayStation and Windows): On the PlayStation, you can choose between four male characters but, the missions are the same either way. You roam the city, driving stolen cars and doing missions for cash for the bad guys, primarily. The only two negatives in this version is the game only has (8) eight radio stations in the cars total and only two per car can be played. Also, the top down play is a little rough.

2. Grand Theft Auto-London: 1999 (PlayStation and Windows): This expansion pack for the first Grand Theft Auto takes place in 1969 London, England and it introduces (30) thirty, new cars. The graphics and game play basically mimic Grand Theft Auto 1. It does however, feature (39) thirty-nine all new missions to complete.

3. Grand Theft Auto 2: 1999 (PlayStation, Windows and Dreamcast): This was the last Grand Theft Auto game to receive a T Rating (Teen). This game copies the first as far as playing from the overhead view but, instead of just one gang, you can now do missions for several gangs at one time. This game expands from certain areas you can go into such as a, mental institution, bank and even a mall.

4. Grand Theft Auto 3: 2001 (PlayStation2, Xbox and Windows): This was the First Grand Theft Auto game to feature 3-D graphics and the sound track was greatly improved as well with hundreds of songs being played. This game takes place strictly in Liberty City, which is based on New York City. This game has come a long way because of the 3-D and the 3rd person shooter view which was a major improvement.

5. Grand Theft Auto-Vice City: 2002 (PlayStation2, Xbox and Windows): This game made the series very popular as it was set in Vice City, which is really supposed to be Miami, Florida, in the 1980s. This game is similar to Grand Theft Auto 3 in many ways except, very improved with many more levels, weapons and cars. You can shoot from rooftops by aiming, or you can use a flame thrower torch to burn up your enemies.

6. Grand Theft Auto-San Andreas: 2004 (PlayStation2, Xbox and Windows): San Andreas is based on California and parts of Las Vegas. This game focuses more on gangs from Los Angeles (Bloods and Crips), than just Mafia criminal rings. This gang introduced gang wars, stripping cars and an extensive plot, with graphic cut scenes.

7. Grand Theft Auto-Liberty City Stories: 2005 (PlayStation2): This game incorporates a much better camera view and let's your character change clothes, ride on a motorcycle and far more missions and weapons than ever before. Also, This is the first Grand Theft Auto game to allow you to rip music froms your own CD'S, and play it in the actual game itself. This game was also available on the Playtation Portable (PSP).

8. Grand Theft Auto-Vice City Stories: 2006 (PlayStation2): You can swim, fly helicopters, ride in cars or, on a jet ski. This game has many side missions and cool ramps for jumping cars and motorcycles. This game features Empire Building which is to say I order to advance and profit you must take over and operate lots of businesses at one time.

9. Grand Theft Auto 4: 2008 (PlayStation3, Windows and Xbox 360): This game has graphics very similar to San Andreas and it is set in Liberty City. The hand to hand fighting is much better with counter punching, slipping punches and blocking kicks. Also, there are different endings to the video game depending on certain moral choices that you are forced to make, as a new feature to the series. Grand Theft Auto has more interaction than the rest of the video games that came before it in the series.

10. The Lost and Damned: 2009 (PlayStation3, Windows and Xbox 360): This expansion pack was made for the Grand Theft Auto 4. This game has witness protection and you can save your game almost anywhere, instead of just at pesky checkpoints. The biker gangs dare the main theme of this edition of Grand Theft Auto.

11. The Ballad of Gay Tony: 2009 (PlayStation3, Windows and Xbox 360): The last expansion pack for Grand Theft Auto 4. This game has more powerful weapons and much of the game takes place in Gay Tony's two night clubs. This game introduces the underground fighting tournament.

12. Grand Theft Auto 5: 2013 (PlayStation3 and Xbox 360): Grand Theft Autp 5 takes place in San Andreas (Fictional California), and the game features a cover system and auto aim which makes the game more fun and seamless. This is the best selling game of all time, after only 8 months. The background scenery in this edition looks so real and far better than it's previous releases.
