The Reason Why Many Gaming Companies Are Dying.

As the years pass the gaming industry gets better and better, new games and consoles with the latest hardware and technology get released and have people clamoring to get them. Some companies however are dying, that means they are going to lose or have lost enough business to punch a hole in their life raft.

There are several reasons game companies can die: Selling bad games, horrible advertisement or some terrible ideas.

Here are a few reasons your favorite company has died or will soon die.

As in all things advertising your products helps with getting it out to more people and getting folks to want your product, just go to YouTube and watch a few videos and you will see what I mean.

Advertising can make or break your item, Watch Dogs when it was first being shown around had some amazing graphics and was thought to be the next step in gaming power but when the game actually came out many saw a big change in the game. Many restaurants will use this tactic, in their commercials or advertisement they will have their item look as delicious as possible but when you actually go to order it the thing you just spent five bucks on looks nothing like what you ordered.

Several companies have done this, making their game look much better or much more fun then it most likely is and when the gamer's find out they aren't happy and it can also lead to a bit of distrust meaning gamer's will not want to buy your product or will go check out reviews first to make sure what they get is good.

One man did this trick, having it advertised a a great game even though it was utter garbage and by the time people realized it he had run off with the money.

Just a warning that if you watch the advertisement look up some reviews first.

There are few things worse then grinding weeks on end to get your guys leveled up only to be annihilated by some dude who paid five bucks to skip the several weeks of grinding.

Pay to play while not terrible can still be annoying. Either they have it to where you don't need to pay but grinding for awhile might be your only choice for a slight upgrade or they have it to where a large increase in difficulty appears so that the player either tries their luck or pays to pass.

It is a annoying concept cause often these games will be free but they will be covered with wait times, the need for more resources or need of better weapons or items.

While this could be said to mostly a mobile gaming thing it can still happen in many console games,

This gets incredibly annoying because some companies will purposefully make the game easy then suddenly change the difficulty to have players believe they need the aid. It is quite frustrating.

Age of Fire, Clash of Clans and several others use this mechanic.

Games are like the main reason to work in a gaming company, to some people it could be their greatest dream to be a game developer.

Games are the bread and butter so they need to be good, some titles can be rushed which is why they are bad or the developers just decided to pump out a quick game for some cash. Not all bad games are bad just because of the developers, as said often it can be because the higher ups rush the deadline meaning that parts of the game get put out unfinished.

In any case games can be bad because of the graphics, the story, how it plays or if it is just a giant mess. Just look up Assassins Creed missing face, you will know what I mean.

"Ride to Hell Retribution." is a game said to be one of the worst ever made, a glitchy awkward mess of characters and bad game play.

Allot of effort needs to be put into a game, alot of people work on it day and night so making one can be hard. But a bad game is a bad game man, if everyone in the world thinks your game is bad then it probably is.

Micro-transactions and DLC can be good if used correctly, having the real ending of the game being sold as DLC when someone already bought the game is unforgivable.

EA is one such a company who has gotten into trouble for micro-transactions, selling lots of DLC that should instead actually be part of the game. That is the problem, some companies have been putting their income first instead of the customer. Yes a business needs to earn money but screwing your customer base will do nothing but make you lose customers.

Mass Effect 3 had a terrible ending so they made Mass Effect Andromeda which sucked even more, they are making you pay more money for stuff that should have been part of the main game and when you make that "Should have been on main game" DLC nearly as expensive as the actual game itself that is just blaspheme. Money is a necessity I won't lie but as said putting money first and screwing over your customers is how you lose business.

Micro-transactions don't make it any better when you give people who buy them an unfair advantage again'st the guys who just want to use the in game items and not have to spend even more money on just different skinned guns.

Now I don't know what happens inside these companies when they make games, I am gonna make an assumption that they all sit around a table and pitch forth ideas. But if your customers, whom by the games from you, do not like or have tried to assure you that they don't like the games that are being made then you should listen.

Activision had made a few futuristic shooter games and many of the fan base had gotten bored of it, they expressed this quite well and they did listen thankfully but alot of companies just don't seem to get the memo.

If you make a game that did not sell well and that your customers say they didn't like then why on earth would you continue to make the game the same way? It makes no sense for a business stand point to continuously make and sell things that did not sell well to begin with.

Some companies need to keep an ear out, hear what the customers want and what they don't want so they can better create something that the population will like and enjoy.

Making something people don't want and shoving it down their faces is not helping.

Sometimes it is just the company that dies due to money. They could have sold some awesome games and been a great friend to the community, EA has also gone around and bought out companies.

It is a damn shame when we have good companies that die out, some fond memories lost with them as they leave.
