The Walking Dead game is made up of 5 different episodes, with 3 of the episodes released as of this review. The game is set in the world of Robert Kirkman's Walking Dead series, but follows its own story line different from that of Rick's. In the game we follow the story of Lee and Clementine, and their struggle for survival in a world dominated by the walking dead. With the first two amazing episodes of the game already released the big question surrounding this third episode was, could it be just as good as the previous two? Well, I can safely say that its just as good.

The story picks up with Lee and Kenny heading into Macon, back to the drug store to pick up more supplies for the group. When they get back Lilly reveals to lee that there is a traitor among the group. Lee begins to investigate, finding a bag of their medicine outside of the fencing. As he is reporting this to Lilly, the group is attacked by Bandits, then walkers forcing the group to pile into the RV and flee the motel area. The group is now back on the road, and things take a turn for the worst. They are now forced to deal with the death of one of their own as well as devestating news surrounding another.

This episode again ups the stakes for everyone in the group, throwing them into even harder situations. The tension in the group reaches an all time high, resulting in the death of one of my favorite characters in the story. Death surrounds this episode and shows you that no one is safe from the world they now live in. By the time you meet up with with a few new survivors your group has dwindles considerably. It's really quite sad to see some of them go. The bond between Clementine and Lee grows throughout the episode, with them even calling each other a team. I really can't wait to see exactly how their story ends.

The choices you make play another big part in this episode. Many of your decisions hold a lot of weights, affecting both you and the rest of the group differently. There is especially one difficult choice where you must decide whether to leave behind a member of the group or not. This choice was not an easy one to make but it was fairly obvious which one was the right one to make. Just because its the right choice that doesn't make it any easier to make. There are another couple of choices like this throughout the episode.

The Walking Dead Episode 3 stands up there with the first two episodes as being amazing entries into The Walking Dead franchise. Im excited to see what happens next, and excited to continue following Lee and Clementines story.

The Walking Dead Episode 3 was released for the PS3 store on August 28th 2012 and for the Xbox 360 marketplace on August 29th 2012.

@collegeman2 Thanks for reading! That's terrible that you keep losing your save. Did you try searching to see how to fix that? It's definitely one of the top games of the year in my book as well.

I agree, this game is really good. If not for the fact that I keep losing my save it would be my game of the year :(

@rolyretro Thanks for reading! You should give it another shot one day. I have yet to play Skyrim, surprisingly.

Played the first free installments but didn't get further than that...I did like it but not enough to pull me away from Skyrim.

      Great hub
