Are you fond of playing word games? Word games like Words with Friends is a great way to exercise your brain. This type of games is great for stimulating your brain cells and helps keep your mind active. The great thing about playing Words with Friends is that you hit not just two birds at the same time, but lots of them.

When play this game, you get to know a lot of new words and their meaning. You also exercise your analytical and mathematical skills, as you look for openings and opportunities to score higher points. The rule of the game is that whoever gets the highest score wins. Aside from the learning and brain exercise, you also enjoy the game because you play against your friends or someone from another part of the world.

Words with Friends is a social network game. You can play it in your Android gadget or with your iPhone and even in your Facebook account. No wonder, it has become one of the most popular and widely played word game. A lot of people like it because it is almost similar with Scrabble. Their game mechanics is almost the same with some slight modifications.

Here I will share with you some tips, tricks and winning strategies in Playing Words with Friends. Though, some people uses word solvers like Words with Friends Cheat to help them win the game. In this hub, I will focus more on giving you some tips on how to play Words with Friends.

Work on your Prefixes and Suffixes

It is tempting to form 7 letter-words or also known as the BINGO in a single turn because you will earn 35 points when you form a bingo word. But this strategy, does not work to your advantage all the time. Sometimes shorter words give you more opportunities to add prefixes and suffixes which will help you earn more points.

The best thing to do is find prefixes and suffixes and then build it around your words. Some of the useful prefixes includes de, dis, mis, and re and suffixes are ed, er, est, eist and many others. Adding this on a four letter word or five letter word also will give you opportunity to form a BINGO word. Mastering this strategy will help you to easily manage in creating seven-letter words. If you learn this strategy, people think that you are using Words with Friends Cheats, but you actually don’t, you just know the right strategy in forming bingo words.

Form Multiple Words

The trick in getting more points is to form multiple words. Be familiar with the two to three letter words. You can actually form a series of words using this strategy and get points for each word that you form. Say for example, you can form the words AGE, PAGE, and PAGES.

You just have to add a letter at the start or end of the word, and you can get additional points. Two-letter words are very useful in creating parallel words either in vertical or horizontal manner. For example, you can form the word QAT by adding Q and T in the A of AGE word. You can also add W to E to form WE word.

Target the Double and Triple Letters

Maximize your tiles point values by targeting the double and triple letter squares. Put tiles next to vowels and make sure to land it on the bonus squares. You can double or triple your scores when you hit these squares.

You can also add your prefixes or suffixes on a word so you can extend on the double or triple squares. Usually adding ER or ED on a word can help you extend earn big points.

Use the S to your advantage

The Letter S is one of the most important letters in Words with Friends. There are 5 letter S and 2 wild cards in the game. Pluralize your words by adding S at the end of the letter so you can earn more points. Use S when you know you can get 20 to 30 points in a single turn.

Track and Count your Letters

Make sure you know how many letter you still have left in your rack, so you can plan a safe play. Most likely your friend knows what’s left in your rack, so be sure to plan your moves so they will not get a chance to take advantage of it.
