Tips for Beating Kingdom Rush Origins Gray Ravens Level on the Heroic Challenge

Updated on December 29, 2016

Gray Ravens Heroic Challenge

If this is your first time doing a Heroic Challenge, start out on the "Casual" setting. To select the Heroic Challenge for Gray Ravens, tap the small icon with shield on it under the bar that says "Casual" like the picture below.

Good Places to Put Towers

Remember, you only get one life in challenges so tower placement is more important than ever. I like to start off with two mages on either path and a barracks tower where the two paths meet to hold the enemy in rage of the mage towers.

Your Hero

If you haven't unlocked any additional heroes yet, you'll have to use Eridan. If you've completed enough levels to unlock other heroes, you can choose which hero you want to use. To change your hero, go to the Hero Room on the map page and select the one you'd like before starting the level.

Your Next Towers

I like to put a druid stone circle at the intersection of the two paths because they deal area damage and it's likely a couple enemies will be grouped in that area. Putting an archer tower opposite the druid offers an attack with good range. Then I like to put a barracks tower further on down the path just to be safe. You probably won't need to add too many more towers because it's pretty easy to beat all the enemies at the fork in the paths when it's set up this way.

Victory!

The early levels are fairly easy to beat on the Heroic Challenges if you place your towers properly. You'll earn one star and some gems after completing it. Once you complete all of the game's Heroic Challenges, you'll receive the Heroic Rush Achievement. Remember, you can't access the Heroic Challenge until after you beat the level with three stars first.

After Beating the Heroic Challenge

Once you beat the level on the Heroic Challenge, you'll notice on the map page that the level now has gold wings. this will help you keep track of which levels you have already completed.

Which do you prefer? Heroic or Iron Challenges?
