Top Five Minecraft Items and Apparel for Fans

Updated on September 3, 2013

The Minecraft world is vast, as well as addicting.

The World of Minecraft

Admit it. You love Minecraft. You love playing it, breathing it, mining until many a pickaxe have broken. You perhaps tell yourself, "I'll only play for an hour." and then laugh at yourself for the mere thought.

Now you're itching for more. You've had the skins. You've built towers and dungeons, houses and tunnels. You've tamed wolves, stocked up on beef, and still it's not enough. You crave something more.

Never fear, Minecraft fans. For I'm about to give you a little taste of something you'll truly like. How would it feel to have actual Minecraft apparel and items? How would you like to hold an actual Minecraft diamond pickaxe? Sound too good to be true? Well, it's not. Here are the five items any true Minecraft fan must have. Even if only to put up on the shelf while they continue their brutal search for diamonds and coal.

1) Minecraft Diamond Pickaxe

It's stronger than iron. It's stronger than obsidian. And in the video game, diamonds are the most sought after ore around. So why not have a life-size replica of your favorite tool?

With the Minecraft Foam Diamond Pickaxe, you can have the best of both worlds. And not only does this pickaxe come in diamond, but it also comes in other classic ores like iron and also stone. So you get to pick the look of your pickaxe, and enjoy the satisfaction of having your very own life-size Minecraft tool.

Foam. Fun. Fans will love it. Bask in the glory of having your very own Minecraft diamond pickaxe!

2) Minecraft Light-Up Torch

Torches. We know them. We love them. (Or hate them) But either way, they're a necessity in the game. It's mostly why we spend so much time gathering coal in those creeper-infested caves, and risk being blown to Timbuktu.

So how would you like to have your own? Sure, you won't need as many as you use in the game (which I'm guessing comes out to roughly 9 thousand), but wouldn't be awesome to hold a life-size Minecraft Torch that actually lights? I know you do. And that's why you should consider adding this to your Minecraft memorabilia. You never know when it'll come in handy.

3) Minecraft Keychains

There's many to choose from. Styles. Colors. Tools. You pick it. The Minecraft keychains are a wonderful addition to your Minecraft stash, and add a bit of spice to your keys.

They're cheap, they scream Minecraft, and they make a nice jingle every now and then, which reminds you that, regardless of how much you play, even the pickaxes and swords make a little bit of difference in your day to day life.

4) Minecraft Shirts

Minecraft shirts are a necessity for any Minecraft fan. Pick from all kinds of graphics and styles offered, from Creepers and Periodic Tables, to Steve and his faithful pigs. There are tons of designs to choose from and there are new ones being pushed out into stores every month!

Online sites, such as eBay and Amazon offer these t-shirts at fair prices, and their selection is vast. Donning some of these bad boys are definitely a must. That is, if you are serious about the world of blocks as I am.

5) Minecraft Nightlight

It's getting late. You've been up for hours building a tower that now only appears to be halfway finished. A creeper has blown up your house multiple times. You're getting a bit stiff in the back. It's time to wrap it up and hit the hay. You set your alarm clock, but feel like there's something missing right now.

The Minecraft Nightlight is a great addition to your room, as well as the nightstand next to your bed (if you have one). It's a unique item, and imitates the well known Redstone Ore that can be found deep beneath the Minecraft surface. Its beautiful red glow is enough to lull any fan to sleep, and reminds you exactly why you need a nightlight in the first place. Yes, you probably think those zombies really are going to break the door down. Relax.

It's just a game.

Ah, redstone. The trusty ore now provides you with light for those lonely nights without Minecraft to keep you occupied.

What Steve Has to Say

According to Steve here, there are many items that can be purchased online that come from the Minecraft world. It's all about what you like, your favorite aspects of the game, and taste. You could go with the Minecraft Steve head cardboard box (classy, I know), or just simply stick with the foam swords and pickaxes. Whatever you decide to get, just get something. Because nothing really shows your true Minecraft fan-nature like a few well-placed items in your room that represent the block world we all know and love. So go ahead. Search away. There's a shirt or sword or Minecraft Lego set somewhere waiting to be snatched. And by who?

Well, by you.

My favorites are the light-up torch and redstone nightlight; I've seen both in stores around the holiday season and been so tempted to get them for myself. I should probably put them on my wishlist! Voted up, thanks for compiling this list.
