Top Tier Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks 2013
Here is the tier list of the top tier Yu-Gi-Oh! decks for 2013. The top tier is tier one, followed by tier 2 and tier 3. The list came from the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki community, so talk to them if you feel the list is wrong.
Spellbook/Prophecy - Spellbook cards are spell and trap cards that support the Prophecy archetype as well as other spellcasters. The main boss monster is High Priestess of Prophecy, but others such as Fortune of Prophecy and Hierophant of Prophecy have recently been introduced.
Mermaill/Atlantean - This deck combines the Mermaill and Atlantean archetypes, both of which consist of water attribute aqua, fish, and sea serpent type monsters. The lower level monsters activate their effects when sent to the graveyard, and the higher level monsters can send the lower ones to the grave. These combos allow you to quickly activate many effects and swarm the field.
Wind-Up - This deck has been top tier for years. It focuses on spamming the field with special summons, and gaining hand advantage with Wind-Up Factory. The deck was hit by the March banlist, putting Magician to 1 and Zenmaity to 0.
Fire Fist - This deck revolves around the Fire Formation spell and trap cards. The spells and traps are continuous, and the monsters' effects can be activated by sending the Fire Formation cards to the grave. The effect monsters are level 3 and 4, and the level 4's are more useful, plus they let you summon Tiger King.
Geargia - The level 4 Geargia monsters are the best. If you have Geargiarsenal, you use its effect to summon Geargiarmor, then use Geargiarmor's effect to flip it face-down. When it gets flipped, you can add Geargiaccelerator to your hand, and use its effect to special summon itself during your turn. Then most of the time you will xyz summon Gear Gigant X and use its effect to add a machine to your hand. You can combine this deck with the Machina or Karakuri archetype.
