Video games were once considered to be only for children. But now-a-days, the concept has totally changed. Games are now enjoyed by people of all ages. The most popular genre among video games is the ACTION GAME genre. People just love blowing the heads off their enemies in the games. In this article we shall discuss the top 3 most awaited upcoming action games.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist

The most favorite spy of game world, Sam Fisher is back. This game starts right after the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction. The plot revolves around the termination of the secret agency, Third Echelon and the creation of a new agency, formed of elite operatives including our hero, known as Fourth Echelon. Our hero is posted as the acting commander of the agency whose duty is to perform global operations worldwide. In this game, the main duty of the player will be to disrupt the plans of a group of terrorists who wants to unleash terrorist attacks worldwide via an operation named The Blacklist.

The gameplay is same as all Splinter Cell games, mainly stealth based, with some cool actions, acrobatic skills and spy gadgets. Xbox players will enjoy a new feature. They may speak things to distract enemies and then attack them. Featuring a great story and superb graphics, this game is one of the most awaited of 2013.

Tomb Raider

The intelligent, beautiful and athletic most favorite architect of all is back. In this game, the story revolves around the origin of Lara Croft and the journey she undertakes to convert from a frightened young woman to the daredevil survivor. The story starts when her ship wrecks and the survivors’ lands on a mysterious tropical island. After many of her crewmates were killed, Lara has to learn how to struggle in order to survive. The enemy is not only the mercenaries searching for her but also the jungle and the wild inhabitants. This is a most awaited game for hardcore action lovers combined with projectile and melee weapons along with acrobatic moves. The scheduled release date is March 2013. Now let’s wait and see what Square Enix has in store for us.

Crysis 3

Fight against the aliens is on again. The third installment to the most popular action game series developed by Crytek is scheduled to be released in February 2013. Players will take on the role of Prophet, shown in the first 2 games, who now comes back to New York, 24 years after the events of Crysis 2 in a quest for revenge against the corrupt Cell Corporation. He finds out that the city is now enclosed in a giant Nano dome. The actual objective of Cell Corporation is global dominion. But the one person that stands in their way is Prophet. Like all other Crysis games, players will enjoy nanosuit features and lots of weapons and futuristic technology and an awesome graphical experience.


Apart from this top 3, a lot other games are in store, like Bioshock Infinite, Star Trek, Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots etc. in short, 2013 is a great year for all action game lovers.
