Not all pens are created equal. Some are mass produced and look like they belong in an office supply shop. Certainly there is nothing wrong with that if you are looking for a disposable pen such as a Bic,Papermate or Pentel However, there is an entire world of pen lovers who collect and appreciate fine writing instruments. Whether these beautiful pens are for yourself or a gift, it is something that you can appreciate everytime you put it in your pocket or in your hand.

We are known worldwide for representing some of the finest pens on the planet. Many of our customers are familiar with all the major brands, and ask for these pens by the brand and even the collection name. However, we always enjoy the person who is experiencing this process for the very first time. This customer is generally not biased by their pre conceived preferences or product knowledge. Consequently, they base all of their preference on visual appeal. If they like it, they as our Sales Associate to pull it out of the showcase so they can study it up close. If they are searching on our website, they click on the item they like, clck on each and every inset to study the pen from every angle. Most importantly they read-up on the description and detail.

This brings me to one of my personal favorites, Visconti Fine Writing Instruments from Italy. Surprisingly, they have a number of very affordable pens. In fact, some of my personal avorites are $250 and under. However, if you are looking for obscenely expensive, something rare and something that belongs in your personal pen museum, you will find that Visconti has it all! If you appreciate pens as I do, I don't think I will be wasting your valuable time, by asking you to read this article.

Visconti is unquestionably recognized as one of the premier writing instruments in the world. Their world headquarters is located in a charming 15thcentury villa in Florence, Italy. The Visconti creations will take you back in history with themes ranging from philosophy, literature, archaeology, to art.

Visconti has also paid tribute to significant current events with some of their newest innovations in design. The brainchild and principal of this Florentine company is a personal friend of ours, Dante Del Vecchio and his company was founded in 1988. Dante demonstrates a passion for vintage pens and has blended a unique combination of old world craftsmanship, ancient and long-forgotten exotic compositions, and cutting-edge modern technology in the creation of luxury writing instruments, which are instantly recognizable.

Lets talk about durable compositions, Visconti works with the most reliable compositions in our industry, including celluloid which has endearingly been referred to by industry experts as “gold for the pen specialists”. In addition to an incredible line up of ballpoint, rollerball, and fountain pens Visconti is also recognized for some of the most desirable Limited Edition writing instruments the world has to offer. In fact, Visconti was the featured pen in the history making event at the signing of the NATO-Russia Summit on May 28, 2002, marking the end of the Cold War.

Visconti created the Divina G8 to recognize the July 2009 G8 Summit in L’Aquila, Italy. In fact, the Italian government selected this magnificent writing instrument for the official signing of the final protocols of the 2009 G8 Summit. This elegant fountain pen was then presented as a gift from the state to the attending world leaders. In commemoration of the G8 Summit this limited edition writing instrument is limited to only 2,009 worldwide. The striking black lucite barrel is accented with .925 Sterling Silver and the metallic G8 band was uniquely designed to honor the significant event. The crown of the pen is adorned with an enameled Italian Flag medallion.

Stated simply, Visconti is the world class writing instrument for the world class pen connoisseur.
