40k Army List II

List 2

This is a very different style of list and will require a very different battle plan. Note the librariian has Gateway to infinity. The point is to get the Lightning claws into close combat along with Cato as soon as possible. By bringing the shooty terminators along with the librarian you will ensure the assaulters will have plenty of cover fire. Armed with chain fists as well as power fists the shooty Termies will be equipped to deal with anything that crosses their path.

Now, Machine curse will be great for the unti when they arrive. Use it to stun or shake at the least or an immobilization or weapon loss at the most! This will cover the Terminators nicely as they int turn cover the Lightning Claw termies. Nice!

Your next move you can now use gateway on the assault terminators which just disembarked last round and jump them past the shooty termies that are lying in wait to provide cover fire. Bang! You just got two nasty squads of Terminators deadly close to the enemy in two rounds. Shoot with ts2 to provide cover and then charge with the assault termies. Repeat process and the enemy will be slaughtered wholesale. When he tries to bring vehicles or dreadnoughts to bear against you charge with your termies armed with chain fists and make short work of them. That extra die against them is your boon and their bane. Not to mention the Librarian's Machine curse ability.

After some testing and analysis I have edited this list to make it a 2,000pt list and also it is meant for battling tougher foes like other Space Marines. I have found that scouts are mostly useless against these more powerful opponents with their higher saves. Use them against Orcs or Tyranids by all means but against Space Marines you are wasting points.
