World of Warcraft: Leveling Guide-Leveling through Rare Spawns

Updated on October 13, 2012

Part 1: Level 1 through 20 zones

In the massive multiplayer game of World of Warcraft there are many different ways to level up. You can quest, do battlegrounds, instances, or grind. Grinding can sometimes be faster especially of you have those handy BOA's (bind to Account items that gives bonus to experience). Sometimes its faster to kill kill mobs quickly then run all over the map doing quests. These maps are areas of the game that have NPC's known as Rare Spawns. Rare Spawns are special elite NPCs that usually have unique attacks, looks and names. These units also drop specialized loot and at higher levels are part of certain achievements. One of the nicest things about these units is that give a massive amount of experience. So much so you might jump more then half a level. For instance at level 6 there was a rare spawn mob that gave me over 2k experience, which was the equivalent of doing 8 quests.

These maps if nothing else will help you find these mobs. I have tried to include the levels of these mobs. Feel free to check back to this article, I plan in the near future of creating maps of rare spawn locations all the way up to 85. Feel free to checkout my other warcraft guides including my wow addons article which has several addons that will add you in your search for these rare spawns. Also once you ding 85 and need gold feel free to make use of my free article on making money easy in wow. Enjoy the maps.

A good guide for those rare spawns when you are levelling up, extra xp and items never go amiss.
