Greg has always loved sports with baseball being his favorite. He often writes about sport related subjects. He values any opinions too.

Golf Anyone?

Never was I much of a person to watch golf on television, but I love playing the game!

My Grandpa (picture at right) had dreams of me being a professional golfer. When I visited him, he would take me to the country club he belonged to in Belle Plaine, Iowa. When he was working, he would have me drive old "water" balls into a field. He would even set up targets.

Grandma and Grandpa farmed outside of Victor, Iowa on land that was settled by Grandpa's parents after immigrating from Belgium. They raised chickens, cattle, corn and soybeans and of course, hay. I remember the hay very well; when haying came, I worked my tail off!

I sure miss Grandpa, he lived to 92 years of age, smoking cigarettes during a good part of it. Maybe golf does a body good!

  • 2GHz processor or faster
  • 1GB RAM or higher, preferably 2GB or higher
  • 1024x768 screen resolution or higher, preferably 1280 x 800 or higher.

If Only!

I really wish I would have followed the words on the picture above. I wish I would have listened to Grandpa.

I never became a golf pro, but just recently I became a virtual golf pro.

I ran across the best golf game I have ever played. You play it on "real" courses. They are set up the same as the real course. There are several courses including St. Andrews, Bethpage Black and more.

You start as an amateur and as you get better, you will rise in stature. You can purchase better clubs, balls, etc...

There are tournaments and you can just play against friends.

The game has actually made my "real" golf game better.

Well, enough talk. I know you golfers out there want to try it out. When you find you love it, be sure to befriend Froggy213 which is my name there also.

Click the link and make sure and watch the tips videos. They will help you get started. If you have a question about the game I may be able to help you with, just message me. I will do my best.
