Zhu Zhu Pets are crazy!

Updated on December 17, 2009

I finally got 3 Zhu Zhu Pets!

Well after all of the hysteria has winded down, I acually bid on and won 3 Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters on Ebay.  This was not as easy as it sounds, as I actually bid on about 100 to win the 3 that I have.  These little furry hamsters that are electronic and run around making noises, have become the latest thing in fun toys and hard to get toys for Christmas this year in 2009.

The hamsters are selling for $8.00 at most stores, when they actually had them, and I ended up paying over $40.00 for each of them.  Jeez.  Are you kidding me?

I then seen some posted on other sites for as much as $100, and am wondering why this company did not know that when the kids really started wanting them so badly why they could not step it up and get these out to stores.  The company is based in Saint Louis not far from my house and I cannot believe that the employees of this company is getting them and listing them for such high amounts of money online.

I also seen, first hand what is also going on.  My mom went to Walmart and had 3 of them, the cashier then told her she was not allowed to sell them to her, put them aside and sent my mom on her way.  The cashiers were keeping them and buying them for themselves and then reselling them on Ebay.

This is crazy to me.  But I do feel better knowing that at least I was able to get them.  I am not happy about the price I paid for them, but would never consider selling them for twice as much as I paid for them.  Maybe I could line my trench coat with them and stand outside of Walmart in the morning and sell them for $100 a piece, many parents would pay that for them which is also crazy to me!

Are you kdding me?  Have you purchased any?  Or sold any?
