Fun Ride Super Z Zip Line Kit

5 stars for Fun Ride Super Z Zip Line Kit

Yesterday our Elf on a Shelf arrived with an early Christmas present, the Fun Ride Super Z by Spring Swings, LLC. Santa must have known that installing outside toys in late December is not a good time in Ohio. The kids were so excited about the zip line. They profusely thanked Santa and Lucky, our elf, for the early gift.

My husband and I looked at each other. We wondered if Santa’s gift will be:

  • Easy to install?
  • Fun, safe and able to be used by all the kids?
  • Able to be used by adults, too?

Tools We Used to Install the Fun Ride Super Z

  • Socket wrench with 5/16 socket drive
  • Wrench
  • 7/16 wrench
  • 5/8 wrench
  • Channel locks
  • Regular head screw driver
  • Tape Measure

Is the Fun Ride Super Z Easy to Install?

The box had clear, easy to follow directions on both the outside and inside. We double checked and all parts were in the box. We first put together the hand trolley and then double checked what tools we needed for the outside installation.

We headed to the woods ready to install the Fun Ride Super Z zip line. We needed to choose two trees with a clear path that would accommodate our zip line's ninety foot cable. There was already a tree with a platform in our woods. Once we picked the second tree, we started the installation.

The directions were easy to follow including pictures. I would recommend reviewing the chart for installation height. We second guessed the high end cable height and ended up doing some rework, ultimately installing as the directions suggested.

Two adults are necessary for installation in order to make sure that the cable is as tight as possible. Too much cable slack will result in a short and slow ride.

Including a bit of rework due to our error, we invested about one and a half hours for the installation.

Without errors, I would estimate forty-five minutes to install the Fun Ride Super Z.

Is the Fun Ride Super Z Fun and Safe for all our Kids?

Their faces will tell you that the kids have had a blast! They begged to ride it again today when they got out of bed.

Santa included the disc swing seat with our Fun Ride Super Z and I am so pleased that he did! The kids were not holding on for their lives. They were holding on and sitting. This made me feel more comfortable about the zip line and the kids found it easier to ride. Without the seat, I would be concerned about their arms getting tired and then letting go by accident and hurting themselves.

Although the Fun Ride Super Z box states that it is intended for children eight and older, because of its stability and our constant parental supervision, I felt comfortable letting all of our kids (ages two through seven) ride the Fun Ride Super Z.

The Fun Ride Super Z has a safe and stable design. Coupled with the disc seat, we are pleased with Santa’s early toy for the family.

Can Adults Ride the Fun Ride Super Z?

There are three levels of the Fun Ride by Spring Swings, LLC.

The Basic Fun Ride allows for thirty-five foot ride with a 100 pound weight limit.

The Fun Ride Deluxe allows for seventy foot ride with a 225 pound weight limit.

The Fun Ride Super Z allows for ninety foot ride with a 250 pound weight limit.

My husband and I have both taken turns and thought the ride was a blast. As an adult, I wished it was a little faster, but as a mother, the speed is perfect for the children.

The Kids Enjoying the Fun Ride Super Z Zip Line Kit

Consider the Fun Ride Super Z by Spring Swings, LLC

Santa knew we had enough land to accommodate a ninety foot ride. I am so pleased that he thought of our whole family and included the disc swing as well. My children love to play in the woods, creek and get fresh air. The zip line will be one more reason that my kids will be begging to go outside and play.

What mother doesn’t want that?

Thanks for reading, Randomcreative. We were interested in a zip line before, but didn't have the yard for it. Santa knew we moved and planned ahead! We were out there again for an hour. Great time!

Thanks for reading, eHealer. I can only imagine how amazing your zip line experiences have been based on the locations you listed. My kids are enjoying it. It wasn't difficult to assemble. It is possible we will change its location up periodically to keep the ride fun! Thanks for the vote up!

Now this is a fun hub! I love zip lines and enjoyed immensely in the military, water parks, and in Brazil when we visited the rain forest. This is a great hub and voted up!

Chrissie, I highly recommend asking Santa for the disc seat. I feel so much more comfortable with the safety with this addition. Let me know if Santa brings you one, too!

Thank you so much for this personal review, I have been considering one of these for my children. We live on 5 private acres and have a hill and several trees lined up that would be perfect for this but I was really concerned about safety. Santa might just bring us one of these this year....if we're as lucky as you:)
