Angry Birds - Star Wars -Cool New Game for the Ninetendo 3DS

Updated on December 7, 2013

Angry Birds has been one of the hottest mobile games of the last few years. It has a great catalog of games that includes Angry Birds, Angry Birds: Seasons and Rio. Kids and adults the around the world have been captivated by these birds with unique powers and their seemingly never-ending battle against the pernicious pigs.

Star Wars has been one of the most popular franchises, seemingly as long as I can remember, the first episode coming out when I was a very young boy. I became a huge fan of the original trilogy, as many of my generation did. A few decades later, another entire generation became fans with the release of the prequel trilogy. Now we are gearing up for ANOTHER Star Wars movie, and likely an entirely new generation of fans.

To say this movie franchise is popular is probably one of the understatements of the century.

Star Wars may be one of the most popular movie series of all times, and Angry Birds may be one of the most popular games of all times. Put them together and you have one surefire hit, that adults and kids alike can appreciate and enjoy.

Now, Angry Birds: Star Wars is not a completely new game. It was actually released on mobile devices last year. But it is new to console play and the Nintendo 3DS.

Even if you have played this game on your iPhone, iPad or other mobile device, it should not dissuade you from giving this a shot. They have added in a TON of new content, new levels and new game-play when they scaled this game up from mobile device game to console.

If you liked the mobile game version, there is more than enough that is the same, but there is also enough extra and changed to keep it fun, even if you have blown through the mobile version.

Get your birds the power of the force, use your light-saber to battle the dark side of the pigs. There are levels from desert Tattione to frozen Toth where you birds have to battle those evil pigs and their master Darth Vader.

This new Nintendo 3ds Angry Birds: Star Wars game has quite a few hours of game play. With over 200 levels of play, as well as multiplayer options, it should give your kids (and perhaps yourself) quite a few hours of fun and relaxing game play.

Here are a few more options for you. The original series of 3 games is always a fun diversion, but I think one of the really cute things that you can get for your kids this year (if they are fans of the Star Wars Angry Birds game) is some of these cute plush toys,

There are a whole series of these based on this game. I pciked two of my personal favorites C3PO bird and the Stormtrooper Pig. Very Cute. Of course all the major characters in the series get this same treatment, so you can find your favorite plush toy
