Preference Of Video Games: PC or Console?

Many people are undecided on prference as to play games for PC or go buy a PS3 or XBOX and enjoy their games that way. I'm interested in getting a general consensus.

Console for me i always find that PC hardware it out dated to quickly for my likeing and wallet, although if you want a good mmorpg the PC is the only way to go, I just wish there would be a wider range of RPGs avalible for consoles as there are many that are only avalible on PC. so in answer to your question I belive it depends what type of gaming your prefrance is, what is more suitable.

I would have to argree with you Adam, The preference is primarily determined by what style of games you actually play. Sports games and racing games when you want to play with friends on the couch the console is right for you, but single player MMORPGer would want to vote for PC. Consoles should open the gates for MMORPG to be available but for reasons unknown to me they dont have many RPG titles supporting such online play.

I think the biggest thing that bugs me about PC games is that your hardware fights you every step of the way, even if it is designed to handle the game you're playing. Maybe it's an out-of-date driver, or a coding error, but something is stopping you from playing the game. Rarely do I have to deal with such frequent problems on consoles.

I prefer console personally. Maybe because i don't have to continually wait around and deal with a slow PC. I really prefer games with a story line like God of War and Champions or Norrath. Resident Evil is probably the best on the wii in my opinion. Probably because i get really into and i'm up moving around like i'm actually in the game smile

Xbox 360 and PS3 is if you just want to play games and not spend too much money.
PCs are better at pretty much everything, but you have to upgrade them all the time. To built a system that can play the latest games like the PS3, you will need to spend thousands!

Within a span of roughly 40 years or so, video games have become one of the largest forms of entertainment media in the world. Once a small niche hobby that was enjoyed on university computers, local bar coin-operated machines, and home television... read more

well If you like to multitask and have other duties, then I would suggest a PC, but if your a hardcore gamer then consoles are a better choice.

I prefer using a console.  They usually have better games.

I use the PC only to play mmos. I would chose the PS3 over the Xbox, but it kind of depends on your prefrence. I like games like Uncharted 2, a PS3 exclusive, and Arkham City. Arkham City is on both consoles, and I've only played it on the PS3, but I think games in general are better on the PS3. I don't own a Xbox, but I have played one before, and wasn't crazy about it. A lot of people do prefer the Xbox over the PS3, though for games like Halo. But, keep in mind, it is free to sign up on the PS network.
