One of mine was a game called "Go to the head of the class" which segued into a later fondness for Trivia Pursuit

Clue, Parchezi, and Chess. Trivia Pursuit was fun too.
Candyland was what I grew up with. Then I learned to love Monopoly, Clue, and Life.
Snake and Ladder for the world!!!!! and oh, Othello! And connect 4! So many!
Monopoly of course, we would play for hours until someone got mad then we would have to put the game up. My daughter loves Monopoly also and is always asking to play.
