What was your favorite memory with your SEGA Genesis?

I know nobody plays Sega anymore (except me) I am currently shopping around for replacement parts on my old Sega, my dream is to have a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega with the original games. Needless to say I loved playing Sonic and still do. I remember the rings, the spins, the upside down spins, flying as Tails, etc. What are you favorite memories with Sega!?

I never owned a Sega Genesis. I was more of a Nintendo person growing up. I had both a Nintendo and Super Nintendo system. One of my childhood friends, who was a neighbor of mine had a Sega though. I used to go to his house and play it with him. The most memorable time I remember was playing NBA Live 95 on Sega with him. I really liked that game, especially since I am a big basketball fan. That's pretty cool that you still play a classic system like that to this day still smile

Yeah, I'm a fan, blame my dad and twisted metal getting me hooked. Mom bought the Nintendo, dad bought Sega, they both competed with me and won. I think I could bet Dad now.

I still own and play a Sega Genesis! I can still remember when one of my fraternity brothers bought one in 1989 or so, when they were the hot new thing to have... at the time the graphics blew our minds. We would play "Ghosts and Goblins" or "Golden Axe" late into the night saying "Duuuuuude, this thing is the FUTURE, maaaaan!"

More recently, my kids have rediscovered my Genesis and stash of cartridges so I've been schooling them in the classics. My 10 year old recently beat "Sonic the Hedgehog," which I've NEVER been able to do even after nearly twenty years of trying. I'm not sure if I should be proud, or jealous!

I bought a Megadrive (that's what they called them in Europe) when I was at college, and it was a great way to spend an evening with friends.  We played multiplayer Bomberman, as well as Road Rash and Streets of Rage sometimes through the night.  Great memories, and I still have one today. My 9 year old daughter loves Sonic!

    Cheers

    Roly

Playing Sonic the Hedgehog 1 over the summer. The second closest would be My cousins and I teaming up to play Streets of Rage 1.

Staying up all night with friends playing Sonic, especially when we got Game Shark (the cheats modifier) so we could have unlimited lives. The pause button was our savior since there was no saving progress.
