   Does Nvidia's project Shield have a chance in the portable gaming market?
   
   Does Nvidia's project Shield have a chance in the portable/handheld gaming and entertainment market? We already have Sony PS Vita, Nintendo's 3DS. It will use a Nvidia Tegra CPU/GPU tech (found in tablets) and the Android Operating System.  Are there enough good Android OS games to play on this thing?  At least they got Dual Analog sticks huh? Output in HD via HDMI and even has SD card slot. Steam if you have a powerful PC with Nvidia graphics of course.

   I've been looking in to this device a little, and with the games they're attempting to offer, I believe it has a good chance of being a popular device.
   
   The graphics seem to be top notch, and it's finally a portable device that has a true controller feel. (To be fair, the Nintendo's were the same feel as their consoles, but they weren't the modern controller.)

   I think it definately  has a chance by just the controller set up alone.  Although I'm not sure how good that touch interphase is going to be.  I mean I'm good at using my cell phone with just one hand to scroll so it's possible that I'm just looking at it from a learning curve perspective.  Aside from that I would imagine that this would work well for PC gamers with Steam who want an alternative game play that won't teather them to their desktop.
   
   Ultimately it LOOKS promising but it's really going to depend on how the execution of it is managed in the end.  I think it's entirely possible that this thing will be a smash considering how well the mobile market is doing but there's still a good chance it'll go by the wayside like so many other good looking portables if they don't conceptulize and execute good market strategy.
