I have to agree with the orange, fairly cheap to build and they always seem to get hits. I never did too well with the green. It sounds like you have a strategy.
If you can get the yellow-green corner- game over (usually). In fact, playing with my brothers, if one of us got that advantage, we would call the game at that point.
We also put the money into free parking. It was so exciting to land there and get a bonus! Thanks for your response.
I have never seen the video version but you are correct, the board game can take a long time.
I stopped playing it for quite a while because I didn't like being manipulated and coerced. I would only play when there was an intermediary involved. I once got so cross, I flicked my houses across the room! Now I much prefer Scrabble.
