Australian High Relief Silver Kangaroo Coins

Updated on September 11, 2014

All About Australian Silver High Relief Kangaroo Coins

In 2010 the Perth Mint in Australia began minting high relief silver coins. A new release comes each year as a tribute to the iconic Australian Kangaroo. The coins are issued with mint packaging including an outer box, presentation case, COA, and coin capsule. They are composed of .999 fine silver and are somewhat smaller and thicker than traditional bullion issues to allow for the high relief technique. The coin's surfaces are actually concave to ensure the metal flows properly as the die strikes these unique portraits in proof finish.

These innovative industry leading Australian silver coins provide investors and collectors alike the opportunity to acquire the finest silver in unique premium bullion on the market from our Aussie friends "down under." The pictures are of coins from my personal collection. I hope you enjoy the overview.
