Baby Soothers & Comforters (Baby Lovies and Baby Blankies)

Updated on January 21, 2015

The best Toys to soothe baby

My daughter had one, I had one and my brothers tell everyone they did not have one, (But I KNOW they did....) What am I talking about?...Adorable and cuddly baby security blankets, or as they are more commonly known amongst children and parents blankies or lovies. Are renowned around the world for helping to soothe Baby.

Having a blankie is a rite of passage for every child. They snuggle into their security blanket and settle down for a good nights sleep or afternoon nap. In fact these blankets are dragged around after your toddler as they go out to explore the world.

Sleeping problems in children can cause upset for the whole family, but there are little things that can help your baby drift off into a peaceful nights sleep

Baby blankies come is all shapes and sizes, colors and softness. From their favourite animal to their favourite color they are sure to never let it far from their sight.

My daughter had her blankie, from baby stages, and as a toddler happily ran around the house trailing her little bear blankie after her.

....I can also share a secret with you that I still have my blankie all wrapped up in my memory box after 38 years, and my daughter thinks this is so cute, as it stays in with other special memories from when I was a baby too! which she delights in searching through.

A secure child is a confident child. it is important for them to feel secure, it helps their development, and coping with transitional periods in theiir junior years. They remind the child of the safety, security, and love of home and loving parents.

yes indeed! Kids love blankies. They could feel the warmth and scent of it... When I was a kid, I loved wrapping the blanket around my body. I felt comfortable then sleeping with my favorite pillow as well. LOL...

Cute blankies! I'm passed that stage (youngest is 9) but I sure do remember it. My youngest doesn't have a "blankie", but he still likes to cuddle up under a favorite blanket (or 2).
