Baby Shower Favors And Game Prize Ideas

Updated on December 7, 2014

Creative use for your baby's ultrasound photo and more!

My daughter and I recently planned her baby shower and it turned out beautiful.

For favors we did a candy buffet and created thank you cards for all of the guests. We attached a Hershey bar to each hand written thank you card. We placed the cards and clear cello bags with twisty ties on the buffet.

For for game prizes again, we used, clear cello bags, pastel colored tissue paper, curly ribbon, pastel colored card-stock and added a personal touch to each of them. I have photos of what we did below.

Personal Touch

For the prize bags we added the ultrasound picture of the baby.

I printed multiples of the image on plain white paper and cut them out.

With my paper cutter I then trimmed some pastel colored cardstock a little larger than the image and glued the image to the card stock.

Using a hole punch we punched a hole in each and set them aside.

Using various colors of tissue paper, we wrapped prizes, put them in the clear cello bags and tied them off with: curly ribbon, a diaper pin and then added the ultrasound photo.

I purchased these coasters as favors for the shower. I found them in a department store. We added the ultrasound photo to all four and put them in our prize bags. These are great because if you want to keep the ultrasound photo in it you can or you can add your own. I just disregarded the stand.

The Candy Buffet

For the candy I tried to find candies that matched the colors of the shower and that people would eat.

We had: Cotton candy, marshmallows, lemon drops, dinner mints, Smarties, lollipops, butterscotch, cinnamon hard candies and caramels. The candies that didn't match in color I put in pastel colored buckets so they didn't interfere with the other colors. My mother-in-law has these cute dessert cups that I used and for the cotton candy I just used clear glasses.

I set up the bar and just added more when we got low.

YES the children were bouncing off the walls : O
