Best Gifts for a 6 Year Old

Updated on June 19, 2014

Toys for 6 year old Girl or Boy

My granddaughter Ella is an active little girl. She loves soccer and has an orange belt in karate. Ella will turn six in November, 2011 and during her visit to my house this summer we created this lens on toys she likes to play with or would like to have for her upcoming birthday.

Ella prefers toys that are as she says "boy toys". Her list includes things like transformers, bakugans, and batman items. We took her to see the new Smurf movie so she decided to put some Smurf items on her list too. She chose some of her favorite characters from the movie.

Whether you are shopping for a 6 year old girl or a boy, I bet you will find something on Ella's list to delight your youngster.

Transformers

Ella likes transformers because they have a shield and "pretend" guns and you can pretend fight. She got several of the smaller figures for her birthday last year and would like some more this year.

Jokey Smurf

I took Ella to see the new Smurf movie and her favorite character was Jokey. This Jokey figure is now on her wish list.

The Smurfs was a fun movie for kids and adults alike.

Papa Smurf - smurf plush toy

Here is another favorite from the Smurf movie.

Smurf Book

Ella thought she would like to have a book about the Smurf's. The Smurfs have been around for a long time but are gaining popularity due to the current movie that came out in August, 2011.

Super friends Batcave - Batman reigns

Ella got this toy last year and it is one of her favorites.

Bakugan - exciting games for ages 4 and up

Fun game for 6 year olds. Ella has been hearing about these games and would really like some.

Iron Man Rocket Launcher

Ella has this toy and really enjoys playing with it.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Ella saw this movie and like it so she thought the book would be good.

Do you know any other toys that Ella might enjoy for her birthday? - stop by and leave Ella and me a note

I didn't know that the Smurfs were popular again. I think we have some of the old characters around here somewhere. Our son had Gargamel's (misspelled, I am sure) Castle.

Yeah Smurfs! I use to collect these myself in my day, fun to see them back, wish I still had them I could probably get a mint for them. Fun lens and it all looks like fun to me.
