Best Gifts 9 Year Old Girl

Updated on May 20, 2014

Five Gift Choices from a Nine Year Old Girl

Do you have a 9 year old girl on your gift list? What better way to get a gift recommendation than asking someone who is 9 years old? My granddaughter will be 9 in a few short weeks and I asked her what she thought would be the top gifts a 9 year old girl would want.

Rachel enjoys reading, computer games and riding her bike. She also loves to dress up and enjoys girly things.

Here is Rachel's recommendations for you!

Top 5 Gifts for a 9 Year Old Girl

Here are my granddaughters top choices for gifts for 9 year old girls.

  1. Kindle Fire
  2. Obeez Soothing Spa
  3. Twister Dance
  4. Walkie Talkies
  5. A-Z Mysteries

Kindle Fire for Girls - hours of fun and education

My granddaughter loves her Kindle Fire. She can read her favorite books, play games, and enjoy a little interaction with Grandma. We both play Words for Friends on our Kindle's and I love it when I get a message that Rachel has played a word. We also play Draw Something together. This is great since we live 600 miles apart and now we can play games long distance.

Orbeez Soothing Spa

Rachel loves girly things like getting her nails done and playing with dolls. This spa is just the type of thing she will love.

Twister Dance - dance to the music

This fun toy is a dance version of the old Twister game. The console will play music by favorite artists and shine colored lights on the dance floor. It also comes with large colored spots.

Walkie Talkies - great for keeping in touch with friends

These "Nerf" walkie talkies are great for kids that love to run around the yard. With these walkie talkies the girls can keep in touch when they are in different parts of the house or out in the yard.

A-Z Mysteries - great series for 9 year olds

Rachel loves reading the A-Z mystery books. Here is the complete set if you are looking for a nice sized gift. The books can also be purchased individually.

How about a simple digital camera? Or do most 9 year olds now have their own smartphones?

Great gift ideas. My ten year old would love any of these. And also anything to do with puppies, kittens or Harry Potter!

No children around any more but if I did this lens would be great for ideas.

What a neat way to find out what Rachel wants for her 9th birthday. A good list you can share with everyone needing ideas from the 9-year-old point of view, plus now 'grandma' knows the perfect gifts to get her for her birthday (and Christmas). :)
