Blue Eyes White Dragon

Updated on March 9, 2014

Blue-Eyes White Dragon-The First of Many Dragons

Blue-Eyes White Dragon is the first Dragon-Type Yugioh monster ever created in Yugioh, and it is the root for every Yugioh Dragon. Blue-Eyes White Dragon has high ATK and high DEF, and has no effect, just like every card in the beginning of the Yugioh Trading Card Game. Take a journey right now and see the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon at its greatest.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon Description

Blue-Eyes White Dragon's description sets the tone for Yugioh. The description of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon makes it seem like a first class talent that should not be messed with. Eventually, these descriptions were replaced with great effects, but Blue-Eyes White Dragon's description will always have an impact on duelists of all ages.

"This legendary dragon is a powerful engine of destruction. Virtually invincible, very few have faced this awesome creature and lived to tell the tale."

Blue-Eyes White Dragon's Adversary

In the beginning of Yugioh, Blue-Eyes White Dragon was the strongest card, but it had a weaker adversary that was still strong and willing to put up a fight. The Dark Magician from way in the beginning was the main opponent against Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Dark Magician has 2500 ATK and 2100 DEF. The description is not as good as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but this is what Dark Magician's description says.

"The ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense."

Short, sweet, and to the point.

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is the strongest of the Blue-Eyes monsters with 4500 ATK and 3800 DEF. Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is a Fusion monster that requires 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons and Polymerization in order to be played. If you want power, then look for Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon is a Level 10 LIGHT Dragon-Type monster with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF that is one of the best monsters in the game. The only way you can play Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon is by Tributing 1 Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon on your side of the field. Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon gets a 300 ATK boost for each Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard. Since Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon requires 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons for a Fusion Summon, you already have 4 Dragon-Type monsters in your Graveyard giving Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon 4200 ATK which could defeat many monsters around. This high ATK might make your opponent likely to use a card effect to destroy or at least disable Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon from attacking. Well, that won't be happening because Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon can destroy any card effect that targets it. No Mirror Force, no Spellbinding Circle, and definitely no Change of Heart either! Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon is immune and basically can't be destroyed by card effects, and with 4200 ATK (if all of those dragons are in your Graveyard), Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon won't be getting destroyed by battle anytime soon either.

I've developed a fascination with dragons at a young age and seeing Blue-Eyes was mind blowing when I was first introduced to YGO. I have the SKE001 Blue-Eyes. Come to think of it, most of my cards are dragons and or dragon related. Awesome work on the lens.
