My Pig Collection: Porcelain Pigs, Pig Beads, Pig Statues
I never set out to collect pigs. Collecting pigs was thrust upon me.
Let me explain. My name is Peggy, and so my nickname was Piggy. Lovely, huh? (People, think about these things before you name your child. Please!)
With numerous people calling me Piggy, or some derivation, the next logical thing (to them) was to give me pig-related items. In this article, I'm featuring a few of the pigs I've collected through the years.
This is a photo of my favorite pig, a vintage Leeds porcelain pig figurine/vase.

Pig Book Hangers - These hangers also can hang on to a flower pot.
Ms. Piggy hangs on to a book on my bookshelf. She doesn't mind because she has a good friend who keeps her company: Mr. Bear.
Pot Hangers - Snail, Ladybug, and Frog
Though they're not pigs, these cute critters will dress up your flower pots.
Amber Pig - This little piggy is so pretty!
This little pig is so sweet. She's carved from amber and has a lovely coloring. Don't you think?
Amber Critters to Wear, Display, or Give - An Amber Pig of Your Very Own
Amber is the natural sticky resin from trees formed over years and years. Amber is carved into pendants or and sometimes into pigs.
Here's an amber pig sort of like mine. They are awfully cute!

Squeal with Delight!
I have several pieces of pig jewelry. I have a pig necklace, a pig pin (a pig pen! haha!), and a Piglet from Winnie the Pooh pin.
Beaded Pig Bead
I used to own a bead store. A lady brought her original handmade lampwork beads in to sell and they were very colorful: bright green frogs, multicolored sandals, all sort of fun beads that I bought to sell in the store. One day she came in with her daughter. They gave me this beaded pig! Love it!
Pig Beads to Add to Your Jewelry Collection - Don't Have Any Pigs of Your Own?
I had at least two pigs that friends crocheted for me in high school. One even had my name on it: Peg. Somewhere along the way, these pigs "got lost."
They were very cute, but alas, escaped the barnyard.

Vintage Pig Pot Holder - With Brown Button Eye
This vintage potholder is perfect! It's got a great body of nice calico fabric, a large brown vintage button eye, and it's a pig! This guy hangs on my kitchen wall where he watches me fix bacon from time to time.
