Dragon Age 2 Mark of the Assassin Mixing the Colours Puzzle

In DA2 Mark of the Assassin, Hawke, Tallis and party can arrive at the Vaults in two ways. First directly from the dungeons without a fight with Duke Prosper, or indirectly from the dungeons and fighting with Duke Prosper. The duke lowers the gate and prevents escape from the Vaults. Hawke and Tallis must then descend into the dungeons to enter the cave systems to escape. But first there is the small matter of solving the Vaults puzzle.

Within the vaults, there is a large chamber with a huge fire in the center. Connected to the fire are some pipes which lead to tiles which can be flipped over. If Hawke and Tallis had come into this part of the vault directly from the dungeons, they will end up in a room with a colour mixer and the initial colours white and black on the two sides. Use these colours to unlock the doors by putting one colour onto each party member. The idea at this stage is to unlock the room with the blue colour and with the rune golem in it.

After fighing the rune golem, the party can pick up a cursed emerald. This is needed for Pirates and Their Curses quest. Within the room with the rune golem is the yellow colour. Pick this up, and head back to the mixer with the yellow colour and the blue colour. Mix these two colours to obtain the green colour. Head out to a door just before the large flames and use the green colour to unlock the green door. Within this room, pick up a cursed diamond.

The picture in this part of the vaults puzzles area will now show up. Look at the pattern of the men with hats in the painting and then replicate this pattern on the flip board on the ground by flipping only those tiles corresponding to the hats in the picture.

The next part of the mark of the assassin the Vaults Puzzle involves solving the painting puzzle in one of the three Vaults room to obtain the picture needed to flip the tiles in front of the flames. Methods include trial and error which can be very frustrating, or just refer to the video tutorial below to solve the painting puzzle in the Vaults.

Dragon Age 2 Mark of the Assassin Colour Mixing Puzzle 2

In dragon age 2 mark of the assassin, Hawke and party must solve another colour mixing puzzle to completely access the treasure in the center of the Vaults. The key here is to obtain the orange and blue colours. Then head back to the mixer and obtain the purple colour.

The party must fight another ruined golem in this area. Then open the door marked purple and obtain all the gems in this area - the cursed ruby and the cursed sapphire. The picture in this part will then show up, and the party can input the code into the tiles on the floor.
