Updated on February 14, 2013

Dead Space 3 Recover Port Engine for the Corzier

In Dead Space 3, the hero Isaac must head towards the Greely and attempt to recover a port engine for the Corzier from one of the floating floatilla and spaceship debris near the Greely. This is Chapter 7 Mayhem. The initial part of Chapter 7 of Dead Space 3 is an idyllic float through space collecting spare parts. The mayhem comes later as the shuttle craft hurls towards Tau Volantis. This will guide Isaac as he attempts to find the port engine and then recover the port engine for the Corzier, and will take Isaac through finding the flight recorders and then navigating a path in the final descent to the icy planet below.

Head towards this space ship below the Greely to recover the port engine. It can be hard to spot from the start point initially.

Dead Space 3 Get to the Floatilla Near the Greely

To recover the port engine for the Corzier, Isaac must re-enter the small shuttle at the Terra Nova and then pilot the ship towards the Greely. Once the shuttle docks, come out, launch into space and turn right and head towards this ship in the distance. The Greely will be floating on top of this ship and will be to the left of the hero as he makes his way to the port engine.

To recover the port engine, Isaac needs to use kinesis to remove the plating from the ship and then pull out the plating that holds the engine in the ship. Then use kinesis to pull the port engine to the right and it will come out.

Next, Isaac needs to head back to the small shuttle and collect 3 S.C.A.F flight recorders from the debris around the C.M.S Roanoke. To do this, pilot the shuttle to the small station near the Roanoke and then come out. Go to the broken circular space ship vicinity and look for satellites with solar panels. Be careful, as there will be mines and monsters in this area. Shoot them down.

Isaac must get very close to the satellite to dislodge the flight recorder. Repeat the procedure for each of them until Isaac has collected 3 S.C.A.F flight recorders.

Now head back to the entrance of the C.M.S Roanoke, enter and proceed to the first weapon crafting bench. Craft the navigation device needed for the Crozier.

Dead Space 3 Chapter 7 Mayhem Descend Into the Icy Planet

Now head back out of the interior of the Roanoke and spot the Crozier parked near the ancient ship. Go to the hatch and place the navigation device. Now head to the right of the Crozier when facing the Crozier from the front and enter the shuttle craft via the airlock there.

Within the Crozier, Isaac will say hello to the crew and then go to the back and use kinesis to fix some oxygen tanks into their containers. Go to the co-pilot seat after that and prepare for mayhem as the crew makes their descent into Tau Volantis.
