A man cave should be a place where a man can watch a game, drink a beer, smoke a cigar and shoot some pool without being asked to take out the trash, unload the dishwasher, or feed the dogs. It should be an escape into a world that you have created, so when designing your man cave make sure to think big.
#1 Man Cave Must Have: Big Screen TV - Big Screen TV
Every man cave must have a big screen TV to watch the game or an action flick. The Samsung HDTV is one on the highest quality tv on the market and makes the game or movie feel like its right in from of you. Its crystal clear image is unmatched I would love to have this TV in my man cave. A new 3-D TV could also make a for cornerstone in your man cave
Every man cave has a neon sign,,, make sure you get yours. I like the beer signs for my man cave. There are countless signs available online or at your local lighting store. The lights will remind you of sitting at a real bar relaxing with your buddies. A big plus is you can turn off your house lights and plug in a couple of these babies!
You must have entertainment if there isn't a big game on so get a game table (pool, air hockey, ping pong, foosball). A pool table in your man cave will give you a reason to invite friends over to hang out. Other great options for entertaining your friends are air hockey, ping pong, or foosball. #5 Man Cave Must Have - Full Bar
Your going to get thirsty so you're going to want to have a full bar to quench your thirst. The bar unit is just the start, once that is in place you need to fill it with quality products. Not only can you play bartender with your friends, you can have your wife serve you drinks! Round up some shots!
#6 Man Cave Must Have: Vending Machine - Vending Machine
Men love vending machines so make sure you have one. This particular vending machine is one of the nicer ones available online. You can find cheaper ones but this one will last a long time and it looks really good.
#7 Man Cave Must Have: Nice Seating - Furniture
You need a comfortable set of furniture, you could always pick up used furniture from a garage sale but you can also get great furniture online at a good price. Check out this great set that I have in my man cave. You can never go wrong with leather, especially couches that you can sink your behind into for a good game on TV!
#8 Man Cave Must Have: Posters - Cool Poster
Posters are a must, you loved them when you were a kid but your wife will not let you have them in your bedroom so the man cave is the perfect place for one. Scarface isn't for everyone, sports posters are also a great alternative.
#9 Man Cave Must Have: Kegerator - Beer Dispenser
Owning a kegarator is every mans dream so get one for your man cave. I am the proud owner of one of these bad boys and I have never made a better purchase in my life. It keeps my beer cold and fresh every time.
#10 Man Cave Must Have (MOST IMPORTANT) - Locking Door
You have to be able to keep fun killers out. This lock may or may not work in your door but no matter what you do you need to have one. This will prevent unwanted interruptions.

Separate the cave
Your man cave should be like a whole separate living space that you could live in if necessary and it might be once your wife finds out how much you spent on it. That means you will need a refrigerator, comfortable furniture(futon or hid a bed would be perfect), and if at all possible its own bathroom. On a side note there should be a TV visible while using the bathroom. And lastly it must have a lock on the door.

Building your own man cave will not be cheap you need to make sure you have at least $5,000-$10,000 to get started if you want to do it right. Remember you are trying to create an escape so you don't want to sacrifice your dream because you are short on cash. I know you are saying to yourself that is a lot of money, here are some tips to help save some money on your man cave. Find deals, on Craigslist, Ebay and garages sale for some of the items you want. This will help you save money for the more expensive items like the HDTV. Another way to save money is trade services with other professionals. If you are a mechanic, find a painter or carpenter that will trade services to save to save each other money.

What about a jukebox?

Great lens. Picked up a load of 2nd hand goods for my man cave and it all worked out great, at a fraction of the cost. I could really use one of those neon signs though!
I decided to go with a nice projector rather than hd tv. It is a bit cheaper and can create a waaay larger screen. Only downside is, of course, the picture isn't as nice; still awesome, but obviously not like a Samsung tv.
I'm taking notes here because my basement is currently torn apart after some flooding. Now I personally think my wife would kill me if I were to turn it into a full fledged man cave but I'm sure a nice bar could be worked out.

I need to get some cash together coz "I want a man cave!!"
I need a wall for books, a recliner with good lighting, and a full size snooker table. A kitchenette and refer, and a hidden escape hatch to sneak out. For me no TVs is just fine, but several head to head computers for games and writing would be cool. Now wrap that up with a view of my beach and the ocean beyond . . . I don't ask for much.
I would have a dart board in my man cave, I agree with the big screen TV and surround sound as well. Full bar is a must, but I'll settle for a fridge instead of a vending maching and kegerator. How about a music library and a jukebox.
