Windwalker, the 2nd class advancement (3rd job) of acrobats, is known as the fastest class in the game. The difference between windwalkers and tempests (both acrobat advancement) are a matter of skill preference, whether you want a passive evasion (tempest) that works like the paladin's 'autoblock' or a buff that basically reduces all your evasion skills' cooldown to zero for a duration (windwalker) since both class have most things in common.

Acrobats are fast DPS characters that are known for their chain combo skills, and both the 2nd class advancement of acrobats are capable of delivering the same forte. And so there's really no boundary that classifies the two advancement class. A difference that can be noticed however are:

  • Windwalker - Additional launchers + reduced cooldown of passive kicks (longer combo), improved AoE of skills.
  • Tempest - Significantly improved damage output (higher DPS)

Take note that because of the dual-ultimate system, the prerequisite ultimate skill of both windwalker ( Spiral Edge )and tempest (Astral Illusion )can be waived. This suggests that you can pursue any of the 2nd-class advancement regardless of the ultimate skill you picked.

Windwalker Skills

Windwalker skills provide additional launchers, which are great for picking up the pace (combo starter) as well as lengthening your combo.

Windwalker Pros and Cons

Once again as with every class, windwalkers have their own advantages and flaws. Some important ones are listed as follows:

Pros:

  • Improved mobility and SPEED, windwalkers are the fastest class in the game
  • Longer combos
  • Greater AoE of skills

Cons:

  • Lower DPS output than tempest (equips can make up for this)

Windwalker Builds

Like the case for the 2nd class advancement of mercenaries, windwalkers can also work well with tempest builds. This is because of the vague boundary that exist between the two 2nd class advancement. Usually, what you'll see are DPS and Final damage build of windwalkers, but you may also see hybrid ones, like one focusing on survivability (HP build).

A list of useful Windwalker guides are enumerated below:

Check out this video of a windwalker soloing Cerberus Nest. Just look at the possibility of creating different combos because of the 'showtime' skill.

Note: She's still LvL 46.

is it okay that i will focus on making up my attack-power higher? example: 5 ancient totems = +195 attack power then 2 Immortals = +200 attack power.. is it okay that i have no Final damage?
