Dungeon Siege 3 Dapper Old Gent Boss Fight

In dungeon siege 3, the dapper old gent boss will appear at the end of the Automaton Rebellion in Stonebridge and attempt to stop the hero Legionnaire from saving Stonebrige. In this fight, tactics are really important in determining the outcome of the fight. This dungeon siege 3 dapper old gent boss fight also illustrates the dungeon siege 3 game - part dungeon crawling, part rpg and part arcade - a joy for some gamers who wanted a bit of each in a game.

First the dapper old gent will stand on a platform and launch electricity attacks both along the tracks in the causeway platform and also as an area attack. The area attack is devastating, so avoid this at all cause. The trackway electricity attack is easy to avoid, if one just stays in between the tracks of the electricity. Remember, the electricity comes back at the end of the track, so stay in one spot as long as possible to avoid this. However, this may be complicated by automatons pouring out of the towers which will force you to move out of safety's way into the electricity's tracks.

Aim at the towers, and start attacking with pillars of fire. One pillar of fire is often all that is needed to cripple one tower, and then move on to the next one. Once enough towers are destroyed, the power generator shield will go down, and aim for the power generator. Use the pillar of fire on the generator until destroyed, and aim for the platform in the centre. Do this repeatedly four times or cycles until the Dapper Old Gent Boss is destroyed.

From Arcade to Dungeon Siege 3

Dungeon Siege 3 Rewards for Defeating the Dapper Old Gent

The rewards for defeating the dapper old gent boss is to be able to move on to the next stage of the dungeon siege 3 walkthrough - the Frostspire Mountain in the Tumbledown Court quest. Also the hero will achieve the Archambaud's Anathema achievement, if you destroy 50 of the automatons during the dapper old gent boss.

The Hero can spare the dapper old gent boss and induct him into the Legion again. This will earn you the Legion Redeemer deed, a + 3 will reward. The dapper old gent boss is actually one of the last Legionnaires who survived the massacre of the Legion in Stonebridge, by escaping into the Causeway, and living there for 30 years, and plotting his revenge in Stonebridge in the way of the Automaton Rebellion. He alone now holds the secret to the Causeway, so sparing him is reward enough. Also, by sparing him, the hero will earn Reinhart's influence. Many eggs in one bag! Some legendary items will also be given at the end of this quest.
