The Easiest Playstation 3 Trophy Games
The Easiest PS3 Trophy Games
Now that the Playstation 3 trophy system is well and truly established, a question seem to hear asked a lot is "Which is the easiest game to get a platinum trophy on?". Well look no further, on this article I will list the games that I either know are the easiest or have heard are the easiest. Also whenever a new game appears and I hear that their trophies are easy I will add them to the list.
The thing about this list is that it will not totally be biased towards what I think is the easiest, because if you scroll down you will find a poll where hopefully the readers of this article will participate in. But be warned, just because one person thinks the trophies are easy other people may think they are rock hard. Basically, if its your type of game you stand a better chance of getting the platinum.
Update: This article was first wrote over four years ago so I have had to change it somewhat. I have left in some of what were considered easy platinums in the early days, partly to preserve the article but also to show what were considered easy when there wasn't many trophy games around. I have also deleted a lot of the polls that was on this article and also added some new ones.
Unbelievably Easy Trophy Games
These are probably the easiest of the easy trophy games.
Megamind: The Ultimate Showdown
Before you read any further it has to be said that Megamind: The Ultimate Showdown is THE easiest of the Playstation 3 trophy games. The platinum is achieveable in under 3 hours. There is nothing hard about this game whatsoever. Don't be put off by the trophies where you have to kill a boss without dieing, the only way a boss will kill you is if when you get to him you have very little health left which shouldn't happen because the jumping mechanic is so awful you will most probably die before you get to the boss and have nearly full health anyway.
The Walking Dead
All you have to do with The Walking Dead Season 1 to get the platinum is just play the game through to it's conclusion. Once you have done that you will have bagged all the trophies including the coveted platinum.
The Walking Dead Season 2 also has the same kind of trophies (ie just play the game to bag them all) but unfortunately no platinum.
NCIS: Based On The TV Series
Just like The Walking Dead, all you have to do to bag the platinum with this game is play it through to its conclusion and if you like adventure games and NCIS it is quite a good game for what it is.
Unbelievably Easy Trophy Game Poll
Which do you consider the easiest of these unbelievably easy trophy games
Easy Old Trophy Games
The following games were the easiest of the trophy games when trophies were first introduced.
Burnout Paradise, in my opinion, is the easiest of the trophy games. Basically I think this because for one I'm good at it and for two it is my favourite PS3 game so far. I had fully completed the game before the trophy patch came out, so naturally it was easy for me to Platinum this game.
Burnout Paradise for those that don't know is a free roam arcade style racing game. While your not racing you can spend hours just exploring the town, doing stunts and generally having fun. But when you are racing you can smash the other cars of the road and get what is know as a takedown. It is an unbelievable experience for anyone who enjoys arcade racing, but not as good if you like the simulation racing games like Grand Turismo 5 Prologue and Grid.
The Burnout Paradise trophies are so easy because you only have to complete approximately 70% of the game to get ALL of the trophies, including the Platinum and some of these trophies you get for silliest things. For example, one of the trophies is for inviting a friend to an online game, all you have to do for the trophy is invite them, they don't even have to accept.
Personally I think Sony should not have allowed Criterion to release this trophy patch like this, because quite honestly it makes a joke of the trophy system. It's basically like saying you bought our game here is a Platinum trophy for doing so, they are that easy. Also it has a rather controversial trophy which you need the Playstation Eye for and it is another stupid trophy, basically if someone takes you down and you have the Playstation Eye the person who takes you down gets a snapshot of you (or whatever your Playstation Eye is pointed at) and the silly thing is you get the trophy for it.
Alone in the Dark: Inferno was first released on the XBox360 and got some horrendous reviews, so the programmers actually listened to the feedback they got and fixed most of the worst parts of the 360 version.
Personally, I really enjoyed this game and it only has a few parts that can be construed as annoying and hard. It has a fairly good story and puzzles that will make you think and not have you pulling your hair out like some games do.
As this game has no online section it is probably the easiest game to gain a platinum trophy in.
It has been pointed out by a few people that this is a difficult Platinum so if this is not your kind of game you will find it pretty difficult to get the platinum ... that being said though there is still a lot of people that consider it an easy Platinum, so you have been warned.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted is the game that puts Tomb Raider to shame and it was given a new lease of life when it was released on the Platinum label with a nice shiny platinum trophy to go with it.
A lot of people say this is the easiest of the Trophy games (I have to disagree with this) but most of the people who say it got the platinum for this when there were only two games with platinum trophies (Uncharted and Buzz) and they didn't have any other trophy game to distract them.
I would agree though that 46 of the 48 trophies are easy (because that is how many I have), but the crushing mode is exactly that, crushing. You need a lot of patience to get the Uncharted platinum.
Walkthrough for the Blue Room on Crushing Mode
This is the point on Uncharted where I gave up after giving it a good go. The person who recorded this YouTube video says that it took them two hours to get past this bit. But if you are like me and are stuck here, watch and see how it is not done and then how it is done (the video shows him failing a few times before he got it right).
The OLD Easiest Playstation 3 Trophy Game Poll - These games were considered easy in the early trophy days
Okay, it is now time for you all to vote for which you think is the easiest platinum to get. Please do vote as it will help other people decide which easy trophy game to buy/rent. Thank you.
Which do you think is the easiest of the old trophy games?
Fallout 3 is a post-apocalyptic action role playing game that you can play in either 1st person or 3rd person views. Because it is a role playing game it will take quite a long time to get the platinum, but having said that it is not hard.
Unfortunately it is very easy to miss some of the trophies, but if you save regularly and you are not afraid to look at the solution now and again you should have no trouble.
In this game you can save anywhere, you don't have to get to checkpoints like in some games which means that you can play for as long or as short as you like. So if you have got very little time to play before you go to work or school or whatever you can easily squeeze 5 minutes of play in, save your game and continue it later.

WWE Legends of WrestleMania
WWE Legends of WrestleMania has got to be a strong contender for the easiest ever Playstation 3 trophy game. The reason I say this is that ALL of the trophies are attainable if you set the skill level to easy.
You should be able to bag the platinum for Legends of Wrestlemania in approximately 10 hours give or take a couple of hours. Be warned though to get the Legend Killer trophy you will have to set aside 2 hours to beat the last section as you have to beat 38 wrestlers in a row without saving.
Overall The Legends of Wrestlemania is a good game but it doesn't have much lasting appeal as once you have bagged the Platinum there is not much left to do. It does have an online mode though but because I don't really like online competitive games I didn't try it out.
The Godfather II
Inspired by the events of the classic film of the same name, in The Godfather II players take on the role of Dominic Corleone, a little-known member of the Corleone crime family tasked with rebuilding the once dominant, but now faltering Mafia empire. Set in an open-world gameplay universe full of dangers and opportunities, players must maintain and develop the Corleone crime family's resources using every and all means available if they hope in the end to prevail in the ultimate challenge, to act like a mobster, but think like a Don.
Many people have commented that this game is platinumable in approximately 15 hours which puts it in the top 5 of the easiest PS3 trophy games.
Hannah Montana held the number one for being the easiest trophy game for a long time. It is also one of the most controversial of the trophy games for being so cheesy. Having the platinum for this game is the mark of a true Trophy Whore as a high percentage of people who own this platinum played it pure and simply for the platinum and not because they are a fan of Hannah Montana.
I myself have this platinum but I didn't platinum it myself, my niece did and it only took her two afternoons to platinum it (with a little help from me on the one awkward trophy that it has).
The awkward trophy is also proof of it being a trophy whore game as it either requires 4 controllers or the knowing how to exploit the game (BWT I used the 4 controller way).
Based on the major motion picture release of the same name, in Hannah Montana the Movie the video game, players step into the secret dual life of Miley Stewart and her alter-ego Hannah Montana. Torn between two worlds, you will both live Hannah's life as a top entertainer, singing and dancing at multiple concert venues and rediscover the value of Miley's roots in her hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee. Along the way you will perform as Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart and create stunning outfits and one-of-a-kind new designs for your tour bus.
The Hannah Montana Poll
Are you BRAVE enough to platinum this game?
Terminator Salvation is the most famous of the easy trophy games as it is a god-awful game and it only has 12 trophies in total ... 11 Gold and 1 Platinum ... that is it.
Owning this platinum is also the mark of a true Trophy Whore ... who else would be daft enough to play through this abysmal game on Hard difficulty? I also have this Platinum but my excuse is that I did it as a research project for this article.
In Terminator: Salvation, you are John Connor, a soldier in this post-apocalyptic world, and it's up to you to lead your squad of loyal fighters in a desperate battle for survival against the superior forces of Skynet and its deadly Terminators. Use the environment and objects in it to provide cover and protection as the T-600 and T-7T shoot relentlessly at you and your squad from all angles and the lethal Aerostat blasts you from above.
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Lara Croft is back in Tomb Raider Underworld and finally the long awaited trophy patch is here and it is yet another easy platinum. The only real tough trophy is the one for finding all the treasures but if you have a guide you should have little problem getting them all, it is just a slow and boring process.
Tomb Raider: Underworld for PlayStation 3 by Eidos resumes where Tomb Raider: Legend left off. This installment introduces a new, interactive playing environment that gives players a chance to immerse themselves more fully into the game. Players once again take the role of Lara Croft as she explores such wide-ranging places as the Arctic, Mexico, and beneath the Mediterranean Sea.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Most 'Kids' games have easy trophies, the easiest of them for a long time was Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. If you haven't heard of it here is a quick description.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs the video game is based on the Sony Pictures Animation movie, and on the best-selling children’s book about food falling from the sky. Gameplay is a fun-filled adventure where kids can engage in a hilarious food fights and have fun with food in a way that they can’t in real life.
This game is a very easy Platinum attainable in under 6 hours and the trophies for this game are so unbelievably easy ... you don't believe me? Just watch the video below for proof!!!!

Which of these 'Kids' games are the easiest to score the platinum in?
Open World Games
Some open world games are a good source for easy Platinums. The best of these being, Far Cry 3, Godfather II, The Saboteur and Borderlands.
The only problem with them is that they are fairly time consuming but that doesn't make them hard. Both Far Cry 3 and The Saboteur have collectibles but they show up on the ingame map once you have purchased the treasure maps in game making these games the easiest of the open world games with collectibles.
Other games that come into this category also includes Saint's Row The Third and Assassin's Creed II.
Mercenaries 2 also came into this category until they turned off the online servers, it is now an impossible Platinum.
A sci-fi/action RPG from acclaimed developer Gearbox, Borderlands combines the best in first-person action gaming with elements of a traditional role-playing game (RPG). The excitement of this hybridization is further magnified by the game's groundbreaking content generation system which allows for a near-endless variety in missions, environments, enemies, weapons, item drops and character customization, making the game's single player, multiplayer and online campaigns not to be missed.
Borderlands is an easy Platinum game but it is fairly time consuming (around 40 hours for the Platinum).
The Open World Poll
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Embark on an adventure to an exotic land and unleash your legendary moves on enemies as the acclaimed Prince of Persia: Sands of Time story line makes its return. Unfolding with the mystery and powerful narrative that have become classic elements in this series, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands challenges you to unleash powerful offensive attacks and destroy your enemies. Race against time in an unforgiving world as you experience the return of the vaunted Prince of Persia.
This game is a Trophy Hunters dream. All the trophies can be acquired playing the game on easy and the platinum can be achieved with a single play-through. Start the game on Normal and once the first cut-scene has played change the game to easy (this in itself will gain you a trophy). There is no online so the dreaded online trophies do not make an appearance in this game
Disney Sing It: Family Hits
Disney Sing It: Family Hits features beloved songs and videos for the whole family from popular all-time classic Disney films including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book as well as contemporary favorites from films like The Princess and the Frog, The Lion King, Aladdin and more. Disney fans can sing solo or with their families in collaborative and competitive modes where players compete head-to-head to their favorite Disney songs while viewing full screen videos directly from the movies!
This game is easy for both the singers and the trophy whores as the singers can get the trophies in the normal way whilst the trophy whores can get all the trophies apart from 3 by placing the microphone next to a noisy fan (yes I know its sad but that is what the trophy whores do). Thankfully though if the trophy whores can't sing they will have trouble getting the platinum. Another thing, all the Disney Sing It games (that have trophies) will most probably be as easy as this one and unlike Singstar the Sing It games have separate trophy lists.
Remastered Games Collections
One of the big trends now is the remastering of old PS2 games and selling them as a collection. The good thing about this is that each game in these collections come with their very own platinum trophy. Usually these collections comprise of 3 games ... that is 3 platinums for the price of 1.
These collections include, The Sly Collection, The Jak and Daxter Collection and The Ratchet and Clank Collection. There are also other collections that are slightly harder platinum-wise, these are Hitman, God of War and Silent Hill ... I've probably missed a few but the easiest of these collections will be the cartoon styled games like Sly.
The Sly Collection comes with 3 Platinum trophies to achieve, 2 of which are probably easier than Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs which is definitely one of the easiest trophy games out there. So if you want a quick leg up on your trophy levels look no further than this collection.
The Remastered Trophy Poll
Which of these Collections have the easiest platinums?
The Lego games are also easy trophy games if you have the patience to Platinum them as each takes approximately 20-30 hours. There is one exception to this and that is LEGO Rock Band which comes into the category of Hard Trophy Games, the majority of the trophies are easy apart from a few killer ones where you need real skill to get them.
Here is the synopsis for LEGO The Lord of the Rings to give you some idea of what to expect from a Lego game.
LEGO The Lord of the Rings takes players along on the adventures of Frodo Baggins and his unlikely fellowship as they set out on a perilous journey to destroy The One Ring and save Middle-earth.
