My Facemug Makes Me Happy

Updated on February 2, 2018

My facemug makes me happy!

My facemug is one of my most prized possessions.

Sure it's cheesy, it's small, and coffee cups are a necessary part of life if you drink hot stuff, but that's what makes it so valuable.

I see my facemug (no I haven't named him, but I do think it's a him now that I think about it) every day, and every time that I see it, it makes me smile.

What more can you ask for?

All about my facemug

I first saw a facemug at the Island Park Craft Fair in Fargo, ND in 2008.

I loved the mugs, but I had to admit that the price was a bit steep.

After seeing the mugs, then walking around to look at the rest of the fair, my husband and I decided to go ahead and buy one each.

After all, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun if we had to share, would it?

I really loved the fact that there was a variety of sizes, shapes and colors, so I could pick a mug that I liked, and that felt comfortable to me.

Although my face mug only has white teeth, some of the mugs had gold teeth, and some of them even had clear crystal teeth.

The faces were also all different, so you can pick the ones you like the best.

Although at around $45 it was very expensive, it is art, and it's something I use every day.

It also makes me smile every time I see it, and that makes it worth it.

After all, guaranteed happiness in the morning is always a good thing!

Do you like facemugs?

Yeah, I think they're cute, but some people don't want to want to face something that can bite back the first thing in the morning.

As you can tell, my facemug makes me happy.

      Thanks Partybuzz!

Half the fun is drinking out of the facemugs though :-).

I've never seen face mugs before! I love mugs...I collect mugs... and this is one I would love to collect but not use. I can't imagine drinking my tea out of that ugly mug! :-) Great lens!

What a unique possession -- I don't have any facemugs, but I do have a couple of favorite mugs that I like to use depending on what type of day I'm having. This put a smile on my face.

It kind of scares me. My favorite mug is a cat. It's not a print but a 3d with the tail going up and forming the handle. Nice concept for a lens.

[in reply to WhiteOak50] Coffee makes me happy too!

[in reply to CreativeArtist] My face on a mug probably wouldn't make me smile everyday, it would have to be someone else's! I'm glad the mug made you smile.

I thought it was going to be a photo of your face on a mug! I was surprised to see what one looks like. It made me smile.

Coffee first thing in the morning makes me happy :0) My mother in law collects the "Face Jugs" the browns ones. I think the artist is from Georgia. I don't know how many she has, but as you mentioned about the face mug, they are a bit expensive. Very nice lens!!
