In Farcry 3, the hero Jason must find Dr Earnhardt's house to locate his friend Liza. Then he must the mushrooms in the deep to find the right mushrooms to cure his friend's ailments. This will guide Jason on how to find Dr Earnhardt and retrieve the mushrooms in the deep.

Farcry 3 Find Dr Earnhardt

From Amanaki Town, head west and slightly north to the next section of the map. Here the map area will be unknown if Jason does not activate the radio station at the top of the tower. So head in the general direction of the radio tower and climb up the ledge to the bottom of the tower. Ascend the tower and activate the switch to unmask the map of the region.

Now, Dr Earnhardt's home lies beyond some pools of water. Head to the beach area and mount a water vehicle (for example, a jet ski). Avoid enemy patrols and follow the general direction of the double yellow circle on the map. When on dry ground, avoid more patrols and then climb to the top of the hill. Dr Earnhardt's house will be at the top of the hill. Meet Dr Earnhardt in the greenhouse and then head into the house to see Liza.

Farcry 3 Mushrooms in the Deep

The friend in the house is not Liza. It is Daisy. She is sick. Dr Earnhardt asks Jason to go to a cave somewhere to the north of his house to look for the mushrooms in the deep needed to cure this sickness. Jason should proceed north to the entrance of the cave. However, Earnhardt has failed to tell him that the entrance of the cave is located underwater. So Jason needs to dive into the sea and look for the entrance (simply follow the marker on the map).

The route to the mushrooms of the deep should be straightforward from here. There is only one way through. Head into the underwater cavern. Come up to breath. Climb up some vines. Dive down into more water. Climb up more vines. Reach some hallucinating mushrooms. Continue to move forwards whilst awaiting the hallucinating effects to wear off. Finally reach the mushrooms of the deep and harvest them.

With the mushrooms in the bottle, climb up the cliff along the cliff wall and the ledge until Jason reaches the top of the cliff. Head back to Dr Earnhardt and watch the cutscene as Daisy is cured.

It's time to clear out some pirates at the Medusa.
