For those of you with PS3s, are you looking forward to Dust 514?
CCP games just released a video hinting that the Dust 514 troops may be able to shoot down an EVE Online player's starship with some sort of surface to orbit cannon. That seems epic to me but does that make this game more or less interesting to you?
I've been playing the Dust beta for a few months now and I would have to say that I'm pretty excited about it. It will be really interesting to see how the game is accepted once it is fully released. As far as the beta goes though, it's pretty awesome. You can sync it to your Eve Online account now and play with your clans. I haven't played in a few weeks now but I'm interested to see what new things they have come out with. And in response to your question, I think it adds a new level of difficulty to the game but it is still interesting to me. I'll just be sure to stay away from planets when I'm flying my ship now!
Yeah I just started playing the open beta last weekend. I think it's shaping up really nicely. I still think what CCPGames is aiming for weighs heavily on the ambitious side but their dedication cannot be questioned considering how well they've handled Eve online over the years (one of the best looking PC games I've ever seen). I think giving the dust soldiers the ability to ally themselves with Eve Clans and giving them the ability to fight back against the star ships adds another element to the "make your own story" element of the Eve universe to begin with. Strategy is a big part of what makes the whole thing so interesting so having a good squad of Dust troops in tandom with your fleet has the potential to swing power in very new ways.

Being that my game already happened on Thursday between the Vikings and Saints, the remaining game that I am most looking forward to is the Monday night game:Baltimore Ravensvs.New York JetsBoth teams were amongst the most active in the NFL off season. In fact, I would say these are the two teams...
