Updated on November 11, 2014

Amazon Kindle Fire Apps

Free android apps are available everyday from the Amazon Appstore. These are full versions of the software with all the features, and without the advertising in most cases. Get a great paid app for free every day and store it on the cloud until you install it on your Kindle Fire, android tablet or smartphone (it's still free when you install it later).

Search through a complete list of apps that you can take for a Test drive at Amazon when you see this symbol ✇ in the reviews below.

The Amazon Appstore celebrates their birthday on March 22nd. Find top Android apps on sale for one week during their anniversary, and a big selection of free apps every day. Download a copy of the Top Android apps on sale for one week during the first Appstore birthday.

These are the moat popular apps that were once featured on the Amazon App of the Day for only 24 hours. Click the big orange button below to see today's paid app offered for free on the Amazon Appstore for Android, access reviews and read about product features on Amazon.

Logic game

Fling! ★ ★ ★ ★

This app was available on the appstore over a year ago, and I still love playing the game. Very good graphics and simple touch screen controls. Thousands of puzzles for never ending fun while commuting or waiting for a friend. 4 game modes: Free Play, Arcade, Challenge, and Frenzy.

Strategy game

Tiny Village ★ ★ ★ ★

Create your own thriving prehistoric city with Tiny Village. Find resources to build homes, and optionally, buy upgrades while connected online.

Puzzle / Music Game

Musaic Box ★ ★ ★ ★

Solve the mystery in a photo-realistic house with a combination of musical clues and hidden objects. Reconstruct well-known musical works and put together the pieces of the puzzle correctly to advance.

Adventure game

Doodle God ★ ★ ★ ☆

Not a drawing application, Doodle god lets you mix the elements of fire, water, earth, air and 24 other elements in new combinations to create storms, build armies, and grow civilizations.

Accelerometer games for Kindle Fire

Speedx 3D ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

This is why I try to resist video games. I can't stop playing Speedx 3D! I'm stuck at level 12 and my heart is beating fast. These are the marks of a great game. Hone your skills in super-fast "Survival Mode" and then switch to "Stages" to unlock new levels as you advance. The "game over" screen is different every time – you will see it many times.

Plunk!
Plunk!

Rolling marble game with dozens of levels and challenges not found in the old-school wooden box.

Children's game apps

One of the largest categories of apps is Puzzles & Trivia Games with hidden objects and "what's the difference" games, or choose from hundreds of educational games for kids and adults, multi-player and single-person shooters, or sports and role playing games.

Kids Paint & Color ★ ★ ★ ★

Start painting by choosing from a palette filled with vibrant colors. Then pick an object to color from 30 images of animals and birds. Watch a timelapse movie of the coloring process. Post the paintings on Facebook, or email them to friends and family. The app even helps to keep the color inside the lines.

Arcade game

Red Wrecker ★ ★ ★ ☆

Knock the red shapes off the screen, but keep the green shapes in the game. It starts out pretty easy, but as you progress through more than 100 levels, your logic will be tested.

Shopper's Paradise ★★★★☆

Build or buy stores, movie theaters, hotels, and warehouses to create a retail empire. Then, hire and manage employees and keep track of their progress. Use a variety of maps, such as Easyville, Pharmacity, and Snake Road to keep busy with three difficulty levels. Build .

I don't normally comment on articles, but I have to on this one. Your article is very well-written with a lot of useful, original and bold views on this topic.

I haven't tried any of these apps. We have a regular Kindle and an iPad so I don't think any of these will work for us. Maybe we need a Kindle Fire now!
