Gifts for the Eight Year Old Boy in Your Life
I don't feel trapped when looking for presents for this one.
Have you ever felt trapped while trying to find gifts for your kids? The answer to that one is yes I have.
One of the easiest things to do is walk through the toy section once in a while with them and take notes. Also go through the video section as this will give you ideas on what they like to watch. This can help determine what toys they like.
A local video rental location or your local library is a great place to find out what kind of movies they like and how the music could tie into their likes.
This is how I came up with ideas for this page as my son will often times spend most of his time in the Transformers section of the Lego's and the Transformers toys. He even uses paper, tape and paper towel rolls to make transformer toys with.
Transformer toys on Amazon
At this time my son has several transformer toys. To be honest most of then came from the clearance section. They were the sets of five that could combine into a larger transformer. So it was like getting six tows while purchasing only one. And yes he knows where they all are.
Its scary when mom and dad can't find them but you ask him and he goes and gets them.
Also his school says that he can take one toy and play with it when not doing studying. and what does he take different Transformers.
The same can be said for church. We will allow him to take one toy with him and 9 times out of 10 its one of his transformers.
There was also a birthday where I got a cake to take to school for all the kids. And on top of it was a transformer.
Do you see a theme here?
And first we have one from his wish list.
There are two main characters that my son likes the best. and here is one of them. Most of his Transformer toys are the small fit in your hand easily. This would be an exception to the norm.
Here are a couple that my son already has.
The hardest part about this site was having your son looking over your shoulder when trying to pick things out. This is the one he pointed at several times.
My son has spent many hours with theses five. Putting together and taking apart over and over.

Lego Transformers on Amazon
I know that there is a lot to take care of with the Transformers as Lego's. lots of little pieces. But you would be amazed how persistent an eight year can be when it is something they want to do.
Like above the first one is owned and played with regularly.
This one was added first as it is one that my son has and will take the time to put it together. He may set it aside for a while but will come back over and over till it is finished.
The son's wish list
Bumblebee is actually the next on his wish list.
May not be at the top of the wish list but still would not be turned away.
Both of my boys have the ability to take a bunch of Lego's and make amazing things. Not just what is in the pictures but what is?
There are two different types of toys on this page
Which would your little boy prefer?
Bonus on Amazon - My son also likes the Transformer Cartoons
He tends to watch the cartoons online or when we get them from the library.
OK time for the dad to fess up. Back when this hit the theaters I stood in line and actually watched it. I was in college and home on break. It was pretty cool listening to Megatron and realizing he was voiced by Leonard Nimoy. (Yes I am a Trekee.)
The first time I found this was at a local library. And that was before my son was old enough to really be into the Transformers. And to be honest there was only one that I was not sure I would let him watch. And that was the one that involved gambling. But as I thought about it this gave me an opportunity to talk to my son about why gambling is not always a good thing and do it in a way that he could relate to.
